it's really funny how so many people on this board have wanted or would prefer many of the players on the Suns over our own players.... and then complain about our loss against them.... and even worse.... when we are missing a majority of our core players. lol

The talent is there, the heart might not be.
It's nice to see Birch starting to round into last seasons form lately though.
No he doesnt have heart, that was his knock coming out of college.

He has tools to be good even without elite effort. He is very dissapointing player but we must be patient. I cant see any better situation for his development than here. He has elite big man coach in Clifford and elite center to look after in Vucevic. Before the draft i wanted to sell our farm for Doncic or draft Carter but you get what you get.
I'm tired of talking about tools and potential. I'm looking forward to when they finally realize that you have to also score points to win in this league and target guys that actually know how to play on that side of the basketball. We're still defending at a high level even without our best defender. I'm sure we can live with couple more scores even if they aren't stout, long armed defenders.

Let me be clear, i dont like Bamba, i never did and i wanted Doncic, Young or Carter. I agree that we need smart and skilled players who can shoot dribble and pass. We cant change the past, we must cheer Bamba for now. Only positive is that center of all positions dont have to be skilled and shooting can be half the success on offense. Negatives are that Bamba didnt show much besides long arms.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I cheer for EVERY player on my team to be successful, and I want Mo to absolutely prove me wrong and become a great center. But after over 30 years of watching the NBA I can spot a fluffed up novelty act (arms as long as a bus, faster sprint than Russell Westbrook, a terrible "song" about him.) when I see one. I can also tell when a player has no heart or motor as can anyone else and that what we're seeing. The scouting reports about his hot/cold motor and lack of energy/interest were spot on.zaymon wrote:Blue_and_Whte wrote:zaymon wrote:He has tools to be good even without elite effort. According to the stats he's our best defensive center this year and it's not really close. Just imagine another year of conditioning and he'll be a beast.Blue_and_Whte wrote:I cheer for EVERY player on my team to be successful, and I want Mo to absolutely prove me wrong and become a great center. Summer league is only league where he can be "beast" because that's only competition where he plays against semi-professional players who end up in second division in Russia or bottom team of China's league after it.
By real plus minus, ( defensive one) , Vuc sitting at 12# spot with 1,74 mark, with Bamba at 25# with 0,32 , among Cs.
This poor attemps to paint Bamba as good player after two years at this point sound like pretty bad trolling jobs. Mo Bamba only plays because of draft stock, if he was second round pick,he would be regular DNP guy.
