The decision to not foul is what it is, some teams do it, others don't. Not going to roast anyone about that.
But the decision not to switch every screen? That was either a terrible brain fart by Gordon or a terrible coaching decision by Clifford. Either way it was really bad.
When you're leading by 3, the other team has no timeouts and that little time left, you always switch every screen beyond the three point line. It should go without saying really.
If the Gordon steps up into Galloway's path like he's supposed to, Galloway is either taking a much more difficult shot over a bigger defender or he's dishing the ball to Wood INSIDE the arc.
If Wood dunks with 1 or 2 seconds left, so what? If Wood catches inside the arc and retreats back to the 3PT line, he's gotta throw up a wild shot.
All three of those outcomes are preferable to what the Magic ended up giving up by not switching.
Great obseravation. Thats why i think AG is overrated defender. He can stop almost anybody 1 on 1, but force him to make a decision, and he will make the worst one.
