Our tank efforts have sucked. Our FA moves have all sucked. Our coaching has sucked. Our inability to reshape the Magic has sucked. Inability to make trades using Vuc, Fournier and even Gordon has sucked. Our development of young players has sucked.

Despite all that I haven't hated the guys we've ended up with via the draft and the Fultz trade bought some patience.

If we can get a stud SG everything could start to come together barring health and an improved development plan.

It sickens me that they are even in position to land another star player in the draft (surprise, surprise another smart franchise using tanking to find a star). But if Golden St wants to trade their pick, then we should go ALL IN. Gordon, Ross, Vuc, future unprotected picks whatever. I want Anthony Edwards! Get me that Alpha!

Fultz, Edwards, Okeke, Isaac, Bamba

Focus everything on developing this core. Stop cock blocking them. Let Fournier walk or tell him he's going to be benched if he opts in. That would restore my hope in this team.

Especially when you see teams around us who started rebuild few years after or around same time beeing in much batter shape than the Magic ....though on paper we are a playoff team by default but we propably would gladly trade rosters with Dallas Memphis or Atlanta Phila etc....maybe even Sacto (If sacto was in our conference they would likely fight for places 5-7th)
Only Bulls or Knicks are doing worse job than us.
Hornets just started rebuild and they are also in a pretty good shape with Graham Rozier duo + Bridges , PJ and Monk ballin
yet we roll same buddy ball forever year after year ....its like being in hell or a nightmare and you cant wake up
Even Twolves did a gr8 job getting Beasley getting Russ... and most people laughed at the possibilities yet they pulled it off.

True, it’s faulty logic at best. It still doesn’t deter from the fact that they did a better job out-tanking us in an extremely crucial year to do so. We are still talking about the a few draft spots difference between drafting Trae/Luka or Mo Bamba.

Given the fact that this franchise still badly needs those kinds of players, I’d say winning those few games was pretty critical to the current state of Orlando Magic basketball.

After the lottery, I felt the Magic should "trade its roster" to get the draft rights of Dončić. How clearly true that has proven to be.

In conclusion: Young and Ayton will be their generation's James Harden: offensive geniuses with no capacity to play a lick of defense.

Contrast that to Dončić who could be an MVP and defensive player of the year.
