Vooch, Ross and Fournier showed up of course. Our bench are trash scrubs. Itd be nice to have actual NBA players backing up our starters.

AG and Fultz were probably the best Magic players last night. Vuc showed a little effort on defense for a change but still can't shoot very well.

Vuc did not show up actually. He had his typical empty calories in the 4th once the game was already out of reach to make his box score look a bit better but still scored 27 points on 27 shots, 1-7 from 3, and had the second-worst (behind Evan) plus-minus among starters. I will agree that our bench was absolutely horrendous tonight though.

DJ being completely lost in his first game back didn't help the bench.

The Magic's top three options right now Vuc, Fournier, AG are also the fans top three hated players in whatever order. That sums up why Hennigan and Weham have failed! Losing sucks, losing sucks even more when you hate your players and have wanted them gone for half a decade.

Fournier played great. AG played hard but couldn't score outside the ft line. Vuc took 27 shots. Hopefully Bamba can get back to showing some progress.

Was nice to see Fultz hyper aggressive for a little bit. Probably would've ended up standing in the corner in the 2nd half even if he didn't get hurt.

Basketball isn't rocket science after all and sometimes swift actions are needed. No self-respecting NBA organization will tolerate such a passive front office much longer. There are so many examples of small or mid-level market teams that are improving through trades and smart drafting.

It's quite simple actually, we need shooters and scorers in a bad bad bad way.
This team needs to get rid of the dead weight Fournier, Aminu, Iwundu, DJ and Bamba (in 1-2 years after we are 300% sure he ain't getting it on the basketball court) and try to receive as much as possible in the upcoming AG trade.

That's smart rebuilding, not just praying for lottery luck in the new system that doesn't favor the treadmill teams like ORL.

The hard thing to do for WeHam is to finally realize they've lost almost 3 years in sitting back, watching and "evaluating" the roster when any intelligent basketball mind could have done it during one summer break and start taking actions immediately. After all they have all their assistants, contacts and basketball stats and data at their disposal. I just can't believe how passive this front office turned out to be.

So we need shooters and scorers and we need to cut deadweight Fournier?

Realgm will Realgm lol

Yea probably 3 cheap shooters who know there role instead of paying 1 for 25 Mio. The next contract of Evan is exactly one of the main reasons most small market teams doesnt win anything.

Exactly, 2-3 shooting specialists in the rotation is what we desperately need.
Even a scenario where we overpay for a solid starter in the range of $12M-15M per year is preferable compared to handing that French softie his next contract starting over $20M per year.

Just thinking of Rob Hennigan not wanting to keep Dipo because of his next contract and gambling on Fournier as a cheaper option in the SG slot makes me want to bang my head against the wall.
When we ride on our bball enemieZ!

Him + another good shooter in Juancho for a pick 25-28 in the first round. Must be nice...

I've been a fan for awhile, would the wolves do a S&T for Gordon and then'd we let Fournier leave in UFA?

That was the trade I wanted (among others)...AG for Juancho and Beasley (and maybe more). Hats off to MIN for their trade deadline urgency!

I think one of the better trade partners in the offseason is timberwolves. They need a defensive forward to cover for KAT and Dlo ( i hope they dont know Gordon is bad help defender) and they have a bunch of shooting guards. Maybe they will trade Culver who could be odd man out ?
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Vučević and Fournier were excellent, and Ennis and the Magic bench were awful.

Not sure what other narrative there is.

Fultz was a major catalyst to our success before his injury. We made our comeback and took the lead. then everything fell apart after that. People really do give so much flack for our starters... but our bench at times can kill the vibe. It's like we lose a lead that we have.... or we just get further behind during games where we're playing catch up. Then the starters come back in having to undo stuff and regain traction. They have problems finding the correct rhythm again and too much effort can become a detriment.... spinning our wheels in the mud when all of a sudden individual hero ball comes out and players try to make 3's instead of making other options closer to the rim or through movement and chipping away little by little.

Other than the false narrative certain people try to push, there really isn't one. We have non NBA players coming off the bench outside of Ross and DJ. Everyone else is pure garbage.
