Not surprising comment coming from an AG super fan...

It's hypocritical. You are are focused on me for saying AG should focus on his game during a pandemic but AG just made a diss song about a Dunk contest that happened almost 3 months ago during a worldwide pandemic. We know where his head is at, lol.

But obviously COVID19 aside, dude just needs to focus on basketball. Nothing he will do will win him that dunk contest. Just focus on improving your game. Let your game speak for itself.

FWIW, AG said this was his way of making peace with it all because he's never doing another dunk contest. After tasting the playoffs he wants to focus only on getting the team as far as it can go, recognizing that the dunk contest requires too much energy that could be placed toward what he now views as bigger goals. Gotta respect that.

"6 years in the league just wetting my feet."

Watch out, another half decade and we might have something here.

AG has been a do it all player the last month or two, which is what we need from him. Any whinging is sour grapes.

He was having a good two months with Isaac simultaneously injured. I guess we will see what happens when both return to the starting lineup. I have a hunch of what will happen.

I think it can work if his usage doesn't take a dump.

IMO it has a lot to do with taking the ball out of Evan's hands as well. If we put it back in Evan's hands and Isaac comes back, AG plays a weird role again.

Yeah, it just means swapping Isaac for Ennis/Iwundu. He does everything they do offensively but much more defensively.

On defense, probably keep Isaac at the 4 for help D and keep Gordon on the perimeter.

On offense, put Gordon in the paint facilitating more like he has been, and put Isaac on the perimeter like Ennis/Iwundu.

Our offensive surge had more to do with our bench getting hot than Gordon. Yes he was more willing passer, and he limited those awful midrange shots but he still couldnt drive past anyone, and he cant finish around the rim other than dunking. His most efficient games are vs bottom defensive teams or he randomly gets hot from 3. We are going nowhere with Gordon handling the ball, he is just bad at it.

This is not true.. at all.

I mean, if you mean LITERALLY handling it like a point guard, sure. But him and Vuc are our best decision makers outside of Fultz. Both of them are better than Ross, DJ, Isaac, Fournier, any other player that has the ball in their hands.

Gordon has nice vision, and he is a skilled passer but since when he is a good decision maker ? He is not better decision maker than Dj and i would argue with Fournier, becouse Evan has greater offensive responsibilities while being vastly more efficient than AG.
Gordon is ok attacking close outs, he is good finding cutters. For me he is best suited as a 3-4 th option on offense, without handling the ball much, but making good passes when defense is on the move.

I didn't know when AG was considered some kind of play maker. I understand AG has had a good month but that doesn't wash away his whole career. I just don't think putting the ball in his hands is a winning strategy. An Ariza/Collins type role would be what's best for him.

But to the point, I agree with Zaymon, the magic will go nowhere with Gordon handing the ball and I find it difficult to disprove. Like you said Vuc and AG are our strongest decision makers (which is not saying much), and for the last 6 years with those 2, with the inclusion of Evan, as the main guys the Magic have been treading water. Until Mo, Fultz, and Issac develop into something special or until the magic some how find some true Superstars the magic will go nowhere.
