Actually, watching the past few games... Suggs ball-handling and passing is actually something we lack with Fultz out.
RJ easily loses the ball or gets pickpocketed
Cole has horse-blinders on when he sees the rim
MCW.. is a defending off-guard
As for Green being the biggest need.... I would argue that although his "potential" go-to scoring ability is something we lack right NOW, we have 3 SGs over 1 "real" PG in Fultz. And there is no-way I can see Green being able to play PG.
How many of those SGs are you confident in leading us to the promised land over the next decade?
I don’t care how many role players we have at a position right now. I want a FRANCHISE CHANGING SUPER STAR. What is so hard to understand about this?
I don’t care what position that guy plays but I’m done settling for anything less than a super star. We need to go full scorched earth on this rebuild until we find that guy.
EXACTLY. More than "go-to-scorer" or " ball-handling" or " shades of kobe" we NEED a Tier-1 SUPERSTAR. However, as previously been discussed/argued.. this draft has ( for me ) 3 potential SUPERSTAR which brings something different to the table. Now here is where we Magic fans argue about which of the 3 is best. Cuz as I previously stated Green and Suggs are pretty much a wash in terms of potential superstar ( my opinion ) its just that Green is a SG that brings scoring while Suggs is a OG that brings handling, court general and somewhat scoring.
History disagrees with this analysis. It’s easy to get excited about these 3 guards but they are all but guaranteed to have very different career paths with varying degrees of success.
Focusing on which one we believe can ultimately achieve to highest level of success in the NBA is our goal. Things like position or fit have absolutely nothing to do with our evaluation.
