JJ Redick on a one year deal, so he could retire here. He gave the same speech as Vuc, nearly word for word, when he left. He came here kid and left a man, ect.

Now that I can get behind! However, I think JJ still wants to win a ring? So... probably he will look for a contender.

Harrell would be a really interesting addition but I’m still not sure if we should use it.
If we plan to do a deep rebuild, cap space must be a top priority.
Woah dude long time no see hermano! Hope all is well!

I was just trying to make the point that PER probably isn't a good indicator.basketballRob wrote:

I think it is fine in comparing Cs to other Cs. But I agree PER is horrible at comparing players between positions. (The scoring gives over-wight to rebounding inflating C PER lines).

I don't think they'll have any pics for a while, and we have no use for Jordan.Edrock wrote:DeAndre Jordan plus a FRP

Also : GL trying to pry him away from chillin with his buddies and a chance to get a ring.
Also also : Why would we target him?

I thought w/their current salary situation, the Nets need to shed his salary and could do it for this year's draft pick (which I think they have, and also to shed more salary).

The Magic have no use for him, this would be strictly for the draft asset (like the Kemba Walker trade). Jordan's salary is $20M for two years, so no major impact on the Magic's long term cap.

So that's 10m/yr? We actually have a decision to make with Harris 20m salary plus the extensions of Bamba/WCJ so yeah I think DAJ's salary would impact our cap. IS there pick worth it for us though? That is the question.

No.
Redick wants to live near his family. But the goal is the same: sign with the Nets on a minimum contract, and he lives at "home" and works towards a ring. The only team Redick might sign with instead of the Nets is the Knicks.

Jonathan Clay is from Tennessee and played high school ball in Virginia (and obviously was in North Carolina before the NBA).
I am not sure as to why when Redick was in Philly his family ended up in NYC. But there you go.
