That is of no value to the Magic at the moment. The salary cap means very little. We should be exploring ways to increase our cap up to the tax line, but we have plenty of time and options for that.
What is valuable to the Magic is the extra year of team control of a 1st round pick. Trading back into the first is a win/win for us and a contender. I think Josh Robbins pointed this out.
Maybe i wasn't thinking about it correctly. I guess the rookie deal would count against the 15 man roster. Still fine with that, it's more about the playing time than the roster spots in my opinion.
If the Magic can flip this pick for a FA signing as a SnT deal, I think that is a great outcome for Orlando.
This ould be a SnT fo Kent Bazemore type deal. The Warriors need cheap players and Bazemore could be a good player on this roster. It's that sort of thing.
