praying for it

He's got role player upside. Why are you praying for it?

He'll have a better career than Bouknight. 8-)

Honestly... longer career MAYBE but better? I think it's Bouknight.

Better shooter, younger, more versatile, and Moody will be on the magic so better career.

League sources say Kuminga has struggled to gain traction during the predraft process, and rival teams continue to speculate as to how far he might slip. With three days to go, Kuminga has become the biggest wild card in the draft.

It’s Barnes at 5 if he’s there and that seems to be consensus unless something wild changes.

Magic interested in moving 8 in the right scenario
A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

I am pretty much convinced 5 is going to be Suggs or Barnes.

8 could go a bunch of a different directions, including a trade back.

If we somehow landed Suggs at 5 I would be feeling pretty… giddy… about who we could combine him with at 8. Suggs is a good chance to add value to whoever he gets partnered with.

I personally feel like Moody's upside is sort of a Wesley Matthews type. Which I know people are going to point out that based on history we'd be lucky to get a longtime starter like Matthews at that spot, but I think I'd rather take a stab at a potentially more impactful player at 8.

Even Wagner with his two-way ability, playmaking, && great size feels like a player I'd much rather take there. He's growing on me.

Moody can land a lot of places in the stratosphere of a good-great shooter, so it's hard for me to point to any particular player and land there. After a few seasons it'll become more clear for sure.

Wagner's defense is underrated and he's smooth on offense, I wouldn't mind him either.

While Suggs has been viewed as a likely top-four pick all season, rival teams don't seem convinced that the Toronto Raptors will take him at No. 4. Suggs would make plenty of sense on paper, especially if Kyle Lowry heads elsewhere in free agency. But the Raptors haven't been linked at all to Suggs during the predraft process. Scottie Barnes is the potential surprise name to watch at No. 4. I'm told Toronto has done extensive homework on the versatile forward.

The Orlando Magic brought back Stanford's Ziaire Williams for a second workout, and there is some belief from rival teams that he could be the pick at No. 8. Williams' freshman numbers weren't great, but the eye test on his shooting always looked more convincing than the stats. During workouts, Williams has been been able to persuade teams to look past his freshman percentages. Moody is also in play for Orlando at No. 8.
