Scottie Barnes is not going to play point guard much. Maybe he is an emergency option or brings up the ball in a few sets.
I think he will improve offensively and is only a year older than Jonathan Kuminga.
Still, you also have to consider what Kuminga can top out at.
I lean Barnes but am thinking about it.
After that, I'd grab a wing at #8 although I'd consider dealing down.
Still working on Big Board.
I was thinking Barnes wouldn't bring the ball up the court, But he will act like a point guard when they get into the half court and there's 16 seconds or left to shoot before the shot clock expires.
Which I think is counter productive. Barnes is practically useless aka Ben-like in the halfcourt. The only way we can utilize his "supposed" ballhandling/playmaking is by letting him get a head of everyone on offense.
Otherwise, as shown in the POs, opponents would just stay back and pack it in and dare him to shoot 11 out of 10 times.
