Interesting that he said we have 4 guards. Cole, RJ, Suggs, and Fultz. So what about Harris and Ross?

I am almost certain that one of them will be traded from a vet 4 or a 3rd string 3.basketballRob wrote:Interesting that he said we have 4 guards. Cole, RJ, Suggs, and Fultz. So what about Harris and Ross?

Assuming all 4 guards are healthy, Them 4 get all the minutes at the guard spots. All 4 guys when healthy and not in foul trouble, touch 30+ minutes. Their will have to be at times during a game that 3 of the 4 guys are on the court together.

I hope Ross is a SF this season, i dont want him taking minutes away from the young guys
Plus, if Okeke is a 4, we really only have Wagner as a SF, we need depth
But on the other side of that, if Okeke is a 3, we dont have anyone behind Isaac

With Wagners height.... pkaying PF is fine for him. Besides, we are hopefully resigning Mo so there is that in the PF/C spot

Yup. This.
Harris isn’t part of the long term plan. When we traded for Harris and Porter, they were even introduced as being good locker room presence. They are just here for a pit stop.

Re: John Hammond interview - In The Zone 7/30
As usual, Hammond gives a pretty candid and honest interview. I thought there were some interesting tidbits.
-Basically stated that the Draft War Room had a similar reaction to the fans in the arena the other night. Which to me squashes all the talk about Barnes being higher on their board. Suggs was just as much a steal at 5 in our eyes as it was in theirs. He also said they had no prior knowledge that Barnes would go at 4. They found out when we did.
-Hammond also said that if Wagner was available at 8, no matter who the pick at 5 was, they were going to take him. I actually believe it too. He just checks every box in terms of what they look for in a player. I'm glad we could pair him with someone like Suggs over someone like Barnes who has more of an overlapping skillset.
-He says they're expecting Fultz back by camp. It sounds like he's really close. No word on Isaac but I'm hoping he's not far either.

Re: John Hammond interview - In The Zone 7/30
That would be weird if Fultz recovered faster than Isaac did from the same injury.
