On the Playstation front, I don't think I ever talked about Darksiders 3 and Darksiders Genesis. I'm a Darksiders fan, but I knew the negative reaction Darksiders 3 got, so I waited until I got it dirt cheap. I think I paid like 14.99 for the game with all the DLC included. Anyway, I nearly quit the game after playing it for the first time because I initially thought it was complete garbage. Instead of trying to be a Darksiders game, it felt like it just wanted to be a crappy Souls game. For whatever reason, I kept at it and eventually it grew on me. Once I got acclimated to how it was structured, I enjoyed it and played it through to the end. It still needs to stop trying to be a crappy Souls game though.

Darksiders Genesis is more like a Darksiders version of Diablo rather than a typical Darksiders game. I liked it, but it has an absolutely heinous side quest involving precision platforming. It doesn't detract from the game, since you can obviously just ignore it, but it's worth mentioning anyway as perhaps the most laughably outrageous platforming challenge a game has ever presented to the player.

Dragonball Z Kakarot: I haven't actually finished the game. I got sidetracked and haven't gone back to it yet, but I do intend to finish it. I think it's actually a good game, but DBZ has to mean something to you obviously.

I forget if I ever talked about Tokyo Xanadu ex+. I'll keep it short and just say that I really liked it. Also by Falcom, the Trails of Cold Steel series will be something I start to play within the next few months.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

Xbox has turned it around a bit, they are trending in the right direction....I'm excited for forza and i would be for halo as well but it gives me pause that there isn't a release date especially considering the game should've come out already....Bethesda...starfield....i'm sorry it's hard to get excited for a Bethesda game....they're Bethesda, they are going to spend years working on a game and release it only for us to be the beta testers....they have to go a long way to earn my trust back...skyrim was a long time ago

Pokémon Sword/Shield: it gets a lot of crap for its performance issues and lack of polish, and it's deserved. But ultimately it's still a Pokémon game and I thoroughly enjoyed it, just like I have with every one since I was a kid playing r/b/y on Gameboy.

Luigi's Mansion 3: I loved it and got 100%. I just wish you actually got something for 100%. If I recall, I think it slightly changes the ending cutscene. In any event, I loved the game.

Octopath Traveler: At first I wasn't really loving it, but it grew on me and I eventually 100%ed it. The actual true final boss was really challenging.

Breath of the Wild: I really liked it and pseudo 100%ed it. That is, I got all 120 shrines and did every side quest. I didn't quite complete the Hyrule Compendium, but I wasn't far off. I could have done it if I felt like it. But there was no way in hell I was getting the 900 Korok Seeds. They can go eff themselves on that one.

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze: The Wii U is the only Nintendo console I have never owned, so I was happy to play this on Switch. Another pseudo 100%, I got all the KONG letters, did all the temples and secret levels, but I did not do puzzle pieces. Because screw that.

Fire Emblem Three Houses: I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan and this game did not disappoint. I think the map designs are pretty dull, since they're mostly just big open areas with no kind of themes or gimmicks. But I really liked the expanded growth system for the characters, and I liked the monastery too.

New Pokémon Snap: I was pleasantly surprised with this game. I loved the original, but you can sit down and see everything that game has to offer in just a couple hours. This game, however, is pretty big. There's a lot to see, and you can easily get your money's worth. My only real gripe is the removal of evolutions. Some of the most nostalgic moments from the original were the evolutions, like knocking Charmeleon into the lava and then seeing it evolve into Charizard. Or luring Slowpoke over to Shellder to evolve it into Slowbro. But still, I enjoyed the game.

Super Mario Odyssey: I just started it a few days ago. I like it so far, it feels like a 3D Mario game.

As someone who’ll be getting a Nintendo Switch soon in anticipation of Pokemon Arceus releasing, I appreciate the reviews.

Did you get the Switch or Switch Lite? If you got the Switch, do you play it on the TV often or not and are the graphics quality when switching to it?

Speaking as a Switch owner, I usually play it docked to my TV more often than not. Undocked the resolution is at 720p so it does look sharper compared to docking it which will upscale it up to 1080p. There is a third party dongle you can buy to upscale the dock graphics so that it is sharper and it does work pretty good.

I would just wait on the OLED model since this is going to be your 1st switch so you can get the bigger screen and better battery life. You can even enjoy Nintendo's new dock feature of adding a LAN port...

I was able to grab a PS5 late December. I don't play it often yet but I played through Maneater, Control, Astros Playroom and Bugsnax. I do have Demon Souls but haven't started it yet. Biggest thing is this generation just how good console games look. Playing PS5 on an OLED is pretty mind-blowing and I haven't even played a true PS5 only exclusive yet.

Still getting through my backlog on PS4. Just finished up Mirrors edge catalyst. Not sure what they were thinking with that combat, the first game was so much better.

I'm waiting for Bayonetta 3 for my Nintendo Switch. It might be the last major release I get solely for myself.

Will definitely be on my backlog for awhile

My Switch and PS5 are gathering dust, lol. Switch i'm basically waiting for BoTW2, though I've thought about picking up Mario Golf. PS5, i basically played through miles morales, started Demon's Soul but couldn't get into it, bought the Mass Effect Legendary Edition and started it, then switched back to PC, lol.

honestly i'm just really into FFXIV, and when i'm taking a break from that i'm playing the Final Fantasy I Pixel Remaster, or playing another old RPG that i haven't played in a while. Nier Automata is on my list, when Red Dead Redemption II goes on a really good sale for PC i'll snatch it up. Otherwise I think i'm just waiting for a game that really grabs my attention. Honestly not enough time to play the games I already own haha

Going through FF7 Remake again on the PS5. The touch ups they did to the game are very noticeable and the load times are virtually nonexistent. I am enjoying the game even more this time than I did when I originally played it on the PS4.

I considered going through it again when Intermission came out. Decided to just do the DLC because i know i'll revisit the game before part 2 comes out. The changes in Intermission though were noticeable, got me really excited for part 2.

Started Demon's Souls, feels harder than I remember from the PS3 version. But I'm enjoying it and it is absolutely gorgeous to look at. Also throwing in A Plague Tale to mix up my game play and really enjoying that as well.

Yeah I was going to just play the DLC straight up but I figured I would just go through the whole experience through the base game once more. I am glad I did cause the level of polish is really good. This game reaches its full potential on the PS5 IMO.

Playing a lot of Mass Effect Trilogy lately, my favorite trilogy of all time. Also, been playing some Pokémon FanHack and I will say some of them are better then real games.

All the From Software games (even the third party developed Demon's Souls remake) are exquisite. Really looking forward to Elden Ring. Finishing Sekiro 100% felt like an actual gaming achievement for me, and I've been gaming since '84 when the games were even more difficult and the sheep ran scared.
