Barnes has some defensive flashes but overall still can't score in general nor with some efficiency worth mentioning.

We are so lucky Suggs lucked into our laps. I didn’t like him predraft but after seeing the preseason my opinions have changed and I think he can be a future MVP. He has his own unique style. We haven’t seen a guard this athletic and strong with his range. Potential is endless. I can’t wait to see the future.

I wouldn't mind Cole for Kispert. He may not be as good as Cole, but we can only have so many guys that need the ball.

HOT TAKE : Combine says Barnes can jump really high run really fast BUT in this SL games, is that all there is to it? Where is the agility? The quickness and grace to move left and right? Barnes can probably bang with nba guys but the so-called hype about him defending guards? Not yet.

He's a good athlete, but doesn't have much explosion. He's like a big guy that they let handle the ball when he was younger. A lot of bigs could handle the ball, but coaches usually don't allow it.

Yup, no quick first step but what was surprising for me was the lateral quickness. I thought he had that.

checked the box score cuz i didmt watch the 2nd half. it looks good. however i honestly thought you gotta add 2 more fouls on him in the 1st half. there was one where he just bulldozed bouknight even though BK was set but the ref called it the other way and the other... Barnes hacks a lot. I dunno but i think in the regular season they will call those.

for someone who has a 7'2 wingspan, and supposed athletic ability, he shouldnt hack or swipe but instead beat the guy on the spot and raise your arms to blind the offensive olayer

Jalen Jackson looks like player most teams will be regret passing.
At least in SL, he looks like player Cam Reddish should have been.
