Losing, or really any bad play or made shot by the other team, visibly pains Franz. He wants to win so badly. Having that guy as a cornerstone is how you actually start to build the "culture" that Weltman has been preaching about since he got here.

Nobody "hates" Cole. He is goofball and some of his behavior after wins is borderline laughable for all the wrong reasons.
But fact he is most of the nights Magic best player also explains why team record makes them second worst team in nba.

On sidenote this is probably one of very few chances to win two in a row this year. Houston next.
btw this is first home win of a season?

Indeed!

The Magic traded him; it's not like he left in a tif as a FA. Aaron Gordon had no control over becoming a Nugget.

He asked for trade. But in general fans booing former players is always hilarious. I can't really name more than few players in sports who deserve to be booed.

good win, it was a pressure release of sorts....cole and franz played well enough....wendell had a solid game....Mo bamba is altering shots but he's not hitting those 3's like he was earlier, not really getting much down low...on the defensive end he's passable but i need to see more offense

Went to bed at half time; I should stop watching games every time we're trailing at the half, didn't expect to wake up to see a win.

I always liked Arsenal, i wouldn't call myself fan but oh boy they are hard team to root for given that they wasted all the money into stadium and credit that destroyed their ability to compete for titles.

And their unlucky injuries of players is story for another day ( Eduardo Da Silva leg popping, Rosicky and his fragile body, Van Persie injury, Ramsey broken leg, Fabregas broken leg vs Barca... hell few years back Bellarin started to look like legit top player for position, ofc torn ACL shortly after) just incredible.

I'm 30, and this year makes half of my life- since Arsenal isn't top tear team. 2006 finals is last big achivment, or at least one i can remember.

Indeed, back then we were so many peoples "2nd team" if they were not Arsenal fans to begin with. Wenger worked miracles with mediocre squads to keep the money coming in post-stadium building.

Ah, injuries. Haunting. Literally scarred by some of those memories...there was also Eduardo broken ankle when we were top of league and then crumbled after. Diaby never reaching potential (shades of Isaac actually).

Yeah, internationally speaking, 2006; lost UCL final to Barca. Still salty about that. Won several FA cups since then at least domestically...and now it looks like things are finally on the right track; a long long long long long way to go but it's looking promising after a rough few years post-Wenger era.

That Adebayor celebration is one of the funniest sporting moments I've ever seen. You can't beat football for sh*thousing.

I still remember where I was when this happened lol, i still can't believe that happened.

Some former players do deserve to get a bit of stick to be fair. Grealish when he left Aston Villa literally told Villa fans he's here to stay and signed a 5 year contract extension with tagline of 'My City, My Club'. Then proceeded to leave for Man City the following season lol, but prior to that he entertained the idea of leaving for Man Utd and Tottenham. Yesterday was his first game back and he got booed and almost reduced to tears.

To be honest majority of sports fans are fickle. Even if they boo a former player give it a few years when the player is reaching the end of their career (provided they haven't recked their rep with their original team) the fans will welcome them back with open arms.

It's our 2nd home win of the season. We beat Utah at home as well.

Very good comeback and win. The defensive turnaround after the halftime break was impressive, we looked so bad on that end in the first half, but really good after that. I think Mosley realized Jokic for whatever reason really didn't want to shoot 3s last night and exploited this. We also stopped putting Bamba or Ross on AG which was obviously not working. And Cole gives us enough scoring that we can make comebacks when the defense is locked in. It also helped that Denver players clearly thought the game is over at halftime and came out coasting and fooling around and played a disastrous first few minutes in the third, which got our guys going.

It was also nice that for once we stopped chucking 3s when they weren't going and just attacked inside over and over again and exploited Jokic's limitation as a shot blocker and Denver's overall weak interior defense. Franz was so good once again. Harris looked playable, maybe if he stays healthy and continues to play decently we may get something for him in a trade, which looked a pipe dream not long ago.

Ok so here are my quick points.

1. Franz and Wendell should have more shots. I dont think they were involved enough. Clearly Denver had no answers for them

2. Why is bamba shooting the most 3s on our team ? He is not a good 3 point shooter. We can do better than giving corner 3's in the 4th quarter to someone who makes them at 27%.

3. Harris offense started slow, but he makes quick decisions and moves the ball. Injuries got to him, but maybe he can recover. He is looking better lately. Its hard to catch a rhytm after injury when you dont have the ball much. At least we know he has capabilities to be difference maker in the playoffs.

4. Chuma is looking lost and i was never big fan of Hampton.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

Return to Orlando Magic
