Magic Survive a Scare; RJ Hampton only out 2-4 Weeks

We all feared it might be an ACL injury but RJ Hampton is only going to be out for 2-4 weeks.

This is a relief.

I'm very happy he's okay. I feel for this kid. Went overseas to prep for being a top lotto pick and didn't have a good experience...something about "they didn't do what they promised..." (which for a 18yo superstar probably means "I wasn't as ready as they hoped"). Gets buried on a good team, gets liberated to a crappy team where he'll get a showcase opportunity, shows some flashes and joins a young fun group in ORL, closes the season with a "Rookie of the Month" spurt, comes back ready to take over and ...sucks, rides the pine, then gets hurt.

I would trade him for sure for a decent return but, most of all, I hope he gets in a good situation (either here or elsewhere).

Once Ross/Gary are gone he'll have plenty of playing time

I alwqys wondered... even before their draft, I and many others who somewhat folloqed him always saw him as a SG.

I understand last year with the injury carousel our team went through, but why are we trying to develop him as a PG this season?
