I see people are finally waking up to RJ Hampton not being a NBA player, I've been saying this for awhile now. He could be a "do this and do this only" type role player, but not for us doing a rebuild. He'll need to adjust quickly though to that type of player or he'll be out the league in a few years.

The Magic had one more black than the Pistons.

M-Wagner had a really solid game. For me he is a legit backup big in the NBA. I am fine if Orlando simply moves-on from Bamba and has M-Wagner play big minutes behind Carter.

Look: M-Wagner is better than Bamba. Enough with "upside". M-Wagner also has "some" upside (his shot is improving). But he could emerge as this generations Steven Funaki Adams. Orlando has needed an enforcer for 10+ years.

p.s. why did I not know Mr. Adams middle name was "Funaki". That is awesome!

And, Mo Wagner is still young as he is only 1 year older than Bamba.

He was my pick in that draft. Was sad we picked Cole over him but was pleasantly surprised and happy when we traded for him later in the season. I was even more happy and validated when he won that rookie of the month before the season ended. I had such high hopes for him... dunno what happened to him .

The only think I "learnt" here is that RJ Hampton is not an NBA player. But I knew that.

In a game that Schofield and Brazdeikis combined for 37 minutes, not playing Harris at all is an indication to me that Orlando is actively tanking - to the true meaning of TANK. That is Coach Mosley is trying to lose games. I see no other meaning to what these rotations are.

The pro-tankers love a game like this, but it was shameful on all fronts. First with all the players being held out with "injuries" on both sides. Then with Mosley not playing a healthy Gary Harris even though Suggs and Okeke were out. Then the rotations. And finally, the result -- losing at home by 14 points to a team that was 18-51 coming in and without its star player. And giving up 51 points to Saddiq Bey.

As someone who lives in Orlando and used to be a season-ticket holder, I can tell you this franchise is digging public perception holes it won't be able to climb out of anytime soon. And when they get the #4 pick and draft another scrub who can't shoot, what's different next year? Who got better last night? Who developed? How can anyone argue this dumpster fire is moving in the right direction?
While all of this might be true, what's the other option? Because building while competing didn't work, we had to blow it up. 14, 15, 18 drafts we missed out on a "star" by 1 pick and winning games like last night.

It is terrible where we are, but if it's a choice between losing last night's game and guaranteeing a top 5 pick and not missing out, it's an easy choice for me
