If we are determined to move on from Bamba, then I don't see an issue with this. White is more worthy of a roster spot than Anthony or Hampton at this point. I don't see a lot of upside, but I'd give him a year under Mosley to see how he gets on. He's similar to Anthony, but his deficiencies aren't as glaring as are Anthony's and he has proven himself a solid finisher and catch-and-shoot guy. If it doesn't work out, you can move off of him in a year.

I'd still prefer to hang onto Bamba though.
Funny enough the only wing other team's board will even talk about in a trade scenario is Patrick Williams.

I like Williams, but I know the Bulls aren't parting with him to get Bamba. I don't believe Chicago is a good place for Williams' development and I do believe they should consider moving him. His defense and intangibles aren't enough to carry him and he isn't getting the touches he needs to develop in Chicago. You can only learn so much by standing in a corner and watching DDR and LaVine iso ad infinitum. Your front office took a chance in drafting him. If they aren't careful, they are going to turn him into Jae Crowder.

Vucevic was our pied piper of futility. He led us to a lot of losses and yet he is revered by many around here. I’m sure you’ve gotten a taste of that. This made Bamba an easy target for criticism from Vucevic’s fanboys.

You can’t expect immediate returns from Bamba. He needs development. He was in Clifford’s doghouse for three years. He improved a lot this year, but he still wasn’t good. He isn’t going to fix your defense. He needs another big to do the banging inside, but he and Vucevic can’t play together. They occupy the same role at the defensive end. The difference being that Bamba will alter a lot of shots, while Vucevic is more of a concierge that directs you to the rim before retrieving the ball. On offense, Bamba is just a shooter. The screening has improved, but it needs a lot of work. He has nice touch around the rim, but he has no post game and his rolling needs to be developed. Frankly, everything but his shot needs development on the offensive side, but the potential is there.

Starting to think the Mavs should sign Bamba as a back up and development/future starter project. Think it is Bamba's best chance to get paid. It would be a risk for the Mavs, and they gotta get the most out of Doncic's years, but I think it would be a low cost risk. They have a story they could sell the Bamba team on. Maybe Charlotte would have a similar opportunity.

PS Patrick Williams is doing fine and it would take real players or picks to get him. Also don't know if we need another 4 particularly with the draft on the horizon, and at 2/3 of top guys play the position, and some might argue all three do.
