It wouldn’t shock me if one of Ivey or Sharpe sneaks into the top 3.
Do you think Jabari's comment to Chuma and liking 3 different Magic posts on IG make you think he could have a promise at #1?

You got any idea why there are reports we are doing so much scouting with Keegan? I can't imagine him being a top pick yet at the same time can't believe he will still be available outside the lotto where we can possibly do some trade-ups.

Could’ve sworn I saw we worked out Kai Sotto.

Well... TBF its all.just smoke, but with everything i read, it seems he is being pushed out of the top 10 and these wing sized and skilled guys are climbing up. But as i said, all smoke and we don't really know what to believe

There is absolutely no reason to do a promise if your picking one. You are essentially trying to get the player to shut down workouts so he won’t go higher. We get whoever we want at 1 so… why would the front office do that?
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

It seems like the first pick usually knows well before the draft that they'll be picked. That's one advantage of getting picked first. He could already secure a home close to the arena, so he can get a running start.

When do the top tier prospects visit Orlando, and if/how are we able to obtain feedback from the FO, and is there a video highlight available to the general public...such as the Orlando Magic website?

Or, is this evaluation all private behind closed doors, with no expected leakage of information, which is what I'm expecting to hear
and confirm from all of you.

Thanks

I guess maybe but I would hope that under the radar got the top guys in for workouts and interviews before giving a promise or it’s borderline negligent with these players being so close to each other.

I wouldn’t look much into it. It’s great that he’s excited about it. I’d be surprised if WeltHamm already gave out a promise. It is interesting that Vegas has Jabari as an overwhelming #1 pick favorite.
But until Jabari flies down to Orlando the day after the draft and holds up a Magic jersey at the press conference, nothing is in stone.

Keegan Murray is really good. Great attitude and work ethic. If he was 20 instead of 22, he’d be more in the mix for top pick discussion.
This may be more of a Wendell situation where it’s to build up a file on him for a potential future move. We talked with Keegan in Chicago, we worked him out down here and talked to him more. Hammond already sort of mentioned in an interview early in the season how much he likes him.
I highly doubt we’ll trade trade down for Keegan. If anything, maybe we find a way to take other assets to get another pick in the lottery, but we’re about to draft a forward already.

Top guys usually make their way in 7-10 days before the draft. As far as media availability....nothing promised. Sometimes we get video interviews, sometimes we don't. Sometimes we don't even know if a player made it in for a workout without random fan spotting them in town. Very tight lip process and just depends how transparent the organization feels like being.

Oh yeah... I never thought of that. I was just curious why were so into him when he is nowhere near pur spot.
