You take the guy you want at #1.

The only thing I could see is going for #3 and Paolo Banchero because he was the #1 target in the end. Like the Penny trade all over again.

If we trade down, I still want one of big 3. So dont want to past #3.

Maybe I will entertain it if WeltHam saw something in Sharpe though

Great minds think alike. LOL, I'm fine with any of the top-3 as well. If we trade down to get an additional asset, why not.

oh, boy, somebody is going to be a happy camper if Chet is the pick at 1.

Nothing will happen, but the first thing i would do if i was a GM would try to robe Vivek.

#1 for #4 and the better kings future assets i can get

I am high on Ivey,so get out of a draft like this with him and a future kings unprotected first would be a W to me.

(also would be sure trade for Cole Anthony and that would be a gigantic W)

I think you do this, if you can't separate the 3 of them you take a deal with Houston for both their 1st round picks and a future first, and possibly a swap next year

i dont think you get #17, a future and a pick swap to move up 2, when there really isnt a consensus much difference between the 3 players. no real generational talent that demands big compensation. might be able to get 3, 17 and either a swap or protected 1st. otherwise they just sit at 3

Consensus doesn't matter...IF HOU and/or OKC are locked in on Chet, there could be a high stakes auction...look at Fultz/Tatum, Trae/Luka...these opportunities are why crappy teams load up on assets...so they can pounce when opportunity presents. If a GM trusts his gut (and clearly Presti does by now) he'll "overpay" and make everybody eat crow later for doubting him.

and with Fultz/Tatum, 3 moved up to 1 giving #3 and the 14th pick in 2019 (Romeo Langford).

Dallas only gave up a protected 1st round pick that became the 10th the next year.

now i agree, if Houston is dead set on a player, say Chet, and believe OKC would take him or Orlando was open to trade, then yes they open up the war chest. i just dont see it.

Think you're right, maybe if we throw in Anothony or RJ?

The more tape I watch of this kid the more enamoured I become with him. 6’6 with a 7’2 wingspan and the mind of a point guard. He would slight right into our SG position, but could be the best or 2nd best point man from day 1. I get strong Haliburton vibes from him and I’m convinced he’s going to be a stud. I’d love it if the Magic found a way to trade back in to the 1st round for him, if not trade back.

That rockets deal could make him a real possibility.
