Come draft day, if we have not traded our pick and we are in the same position we are in today, we need to draft Tony Wroten.

What spot do you guys think Lamb is going? I would like to trade up to get him too. He's the guy I want the most out of anybody.

I think he'd be a great pick up; he's at the top of my list. I'd like Jeff Taylor or Terrence Ross too. Teague, if he's available, could be great too.

If we don't draft a PG in Rd 1, I'd really like to draft Jeff Taylor.

Never heard of him. What's he good at? Scoring? Defense? Etc.
I honestly can't wait for this draft. There are so many good players out there that could really help this franchise.

I think we should be able to draft Kendall Marshall ..
So please, Otis, if you're still here, don't make another horrible pick and pick the one player that can make this team A LOT better

Would it be possible to trade Ryan Anderson for Jeremy Lamb?

NBA Comparison: Wilson Chandler
Strengths: Incredible athlete ... Great leaping ability, very smooth player ... Excellent perimeter defender with quick feet and good lateral movement ... Good instincts on defense ... Great length and size (6'7", 224), allow him to get a lot of steals + deflections ... Great timing on both ends of the floor (i.e. blocks, alley oops, put backs) ... Very good at drawing contact and getting to the line (7th in SEC in FTA) ... Ability to get to the rim at will when he puts his head down and mind to it ... Good form on jumper, even if inconsistent ... Still appears to have untapped potential ... Strong body with excellent shoulders and ability to play through contact ... Competes well when he gets challenged ...
Weaknesses: Tendency to disappear during games at some points or even for stretches of games ...When doesn't have ball in his hands, can become very passive and just watch at times ... Inconsistent mid-range jumper but has good form ... Lacks confidence in jumper allowing opposing defense to dare him into shooting by giving him space ... No college three-point range, let alone NBA ... Occasional tendency to go for flashy play when simple one would be best ... Feel for the game is a little below average as he didn't play against a high level of competition until his late teenage years ... Perimeter skills, ball handling and passing are both in need of improvement ... Despite high level athleticism is surprisingly better in half court than transition .

just did some research on tony wroten. seems like what we need and should fall to us around 18. could use some size/playmaking at the pg position.

Thanks for the info Nem.
The points made here make me kind of skeptical. I've never seen him play so I don't know how he looks, but, I wouldn't go for him IMO.

Here's a pretty detailed scouting report thing:

I think it's a little over optimistic, but it should give you more info about his game.

he could give us some much needed athleticism and defense on the wing but he isn't a ball handler and can't create his own shot, just a spot up shooter and transition dunker. could become our starting sf right away over turk. i really like this pick

If dwight is gone in the offseason I'll be inclined to.not let him choose where he wants to go and trade him and our pick to Portland for LaMarcus Aldridge and their 2 picks in the lottery draft Andre Drummond and Jeremy Lamb... Just saying not possible but I can dream

Re: 2012 Orland Magic NBA draft thread ...
You're ignoring some big parts of his game. Maybe he doesn't attack the rim, which is a need, but he is a solid defender, unselfish, high basketball IQ, athletic, good in transition, can finish at the rim and draw fouls, and isn't an offensive liability. So, sure we need attacking. But we also need defense and athleticism.magicman123 wrote:No more spot up shooters, pass on any player like that, im sick of them
Draft Express has us taking Moe Harkless; you'd probably be more interested in him. He has a lot of the same attributes as Taylor (defense, athleticism, unselfish play) but is a lot more raw as a player. He's a limited shooter and a little turnover prone as a ball-handler, but he looks to attack more than Taylor. He has potential, but is probably a few years away from being an every night kind of contributor. But the potential is there.
So it would really come down to who seems to have more upside when picking between those two guys (of course there's more options than those two guys and options at different positions too). I'm not sure, but that's why I'm not a scout.

Magic will try to move up to top 15 pick, probably we will draft a PG (Lillard or Marshall).

That guy Magical on Twitter reported that. Said we are targeting Marshall. If we can't move up we will go for Tony Wroten. Hope he's right.
