I'm sure you will do that anyway when he finally gets traded or walks...

with the 6ers amnestying Brand, they've got a hole to fill in the front court. so.... they sign Nick Young!
Hawes
Young?
Iggy/Turner
Young/Meeks
Holiday
Iggy has to be gone. i still hope we can swing a deal for him, based on BBD or Anderson. even if we trade for Bynum, i'd like to make a move for Iggy.
LAL: Dwight + Hedo
PHI: BBD + McRoberts + MWP
ORL: Bynum + Iggy + Ebanks
Philly most likely scoff at this deal, but it gets them 2 good value big men, one who's capable of playing C when Hawes goes down, and a perimeter defender to take over from Iggy.
Bynum/OQuinn
Anderson/Nicholson
Iggy/Ebanks
JJ/Liggins
Nelson/Bledsoe/Duhon

If we could actually get Bynum and Iggy out of this i think i would finally be happy with a trade proposal besides the houston one.
Everyone knows i cant stand bynum and dont want him to be the center piece of this team going forward BUT a bynum/iggy combo would be real nice return for howard. I would prefer we keep BBD and instead trade away Anderson, but wouldnt make that a deal breaker

Phi trades
Andre Iguodala
Thad Young
Phi Receives
Pau Gasol
JJ Redick
Orl trades
Dwight Howard
JJ Redick
Hedo Turkoglu
Orl receives
Andrew Bynum
Thad Young
Josh McRoberts
Lal trades
Andrew Bynum
Pau Gasol
Josh McRoberts
Lal receives
Andre iguodala
Dwight Howard
Hedo Turkoglu
Other pieces could be involved like JRich's contract, Nic Vucevic, Metta World Peace, or maybe even a sign and trade of Anderson or Lou WIlliams. But I think that the above is a pretty good deal for all involved teams.

If we trade away JJ and only get Thad in return, i might just snap!
Hate trading for bynum in the first place, but to include JJ and not get back iggy? **** THAT!!!
Bensational wrote:i don't see the Lakers giving up Pau, unless they have some kind of salary concerns. Pau is much better than what he'd fetch on the open market - and he's much better than Iggy. if Philly could get Pau and JJ for Iggy and Thad then it's highway robbery for them. Iggy wouldn't make the Lakers any better - he would become nothing more than a perimeter defender in LA, since he'd have Kobe, Dwight and Nash in front of him as offensive options.
let's be honest - Iggy put up 12ppg this season. he's regressing as a scorer and embracing the role of facilitator and defensive anchor more. but his performance isn't worth $14M. he's a glorified version of what we get out of Hedo - but relatively much better value than Hedo as well.
i just don't think Philly will be getting much more for Iggy than salary dump options or, if they're lucky, swapping him for an overpriced up and comer - like Ryan Anderson.

You could be right about LA keeping Gasol. IMO though, I'd rather have Iguodala than Gasol if I'm LA.
I think Iguodala's points go up playing in LA. There will be easier buckets to be had playing alongside Nash, and with Kobe and Howard commanding the D's attention he could have his fair share of open looks from 3. 16/6/4 sounds about right imo, plus lockdown defense on the opposing team's best wing player. Well worth his price tag.
Plus, in a couple of years it'll be Iguodala and Howard as Vets looking to lure FA's to LA, as Kobe and Nash ride off into the sunset.

a Dwight/Gasol front court would be damn beastly, and would cause many more problems for opposing teams than a Dwight/Iggy combo.
right now, the Lakers get what Iggy would give them from Artest and Grant Hill (if he signs). Iggy wouldn't have the ball in his hands enough to be a major playmaker, because Nash and Kobe would sit atop that list. most of all, if Iggy can't establish himself as a dominant scorer on a team with only JRue Holiday and Lou Williams as competition, how's he gonna fair with Kobe, Dwight and Nash?
the Lakers don't need another wing who needs the ball in his hands to be effective, and they probably don't want to spend $14M on a defensive specialist.
sorry, not trying to give you a hard time, i just don't see a match between Philly and LA.
edit - also, considering that there was rumours that Philly could be involved in a deal, i wouldn't be surprised if they were looking to pick up a forward (Anderson/BBD/McRoberts). considering that, i'd imagine the pieces that would be in the mix would be Iggy or Young, and I lean towards Iggy only because they just offered a deal to Nick Young, and they've got Turner ready to step up, and Young can still share time at the 4.

not a comment on toughness, but Lopez owns Bynum in head to head matches. Outscores him 24ppg to 7ppg, outrebounded him and got him into foul trouble.
