I believe that for a player to be a go to scorer requires a certain mind set. I do not believe Oladipo is the type of guy to jack up shot after shot which is why he is perfectly suited for the point guard spot. His willingness to get others involved, his on the ball defense with his leadership and work ethic will best serve the team at the one IMO.

I don't doubt his willingness; it's his skill at running a team that I'm raising eyebrows at. I'd point out Nelson is underrated as a passer, despite his scoring mindset. I disagree that making Oladipo a point guard will help him learn how to be a go-to scorer. Scorers focus on making shots, drawing fouls, or passing after drawing the defense. Point guards need to assess the best way to attack an opposing team's defense, whether that be through setting up a teammate or by taking it themselves. If the team wants Victor to have the ball in his hands, then they'll pass him the ball. Making Dipo the point will certainly help him learn how to be a point guard, but I don't think you can take it for granted that Victor will be comfortable and effective at the point in the NBA.

I just loaded the app and muchhhhh better than using the android browser. Still think it can be improved quite a bit though.

I agree. Dipo seemed relegated to PnR's and drive and kicks in the SL. There wasn't much play calling involved although I don't doubt he'll improve to some degree. Again I think some fans have had this fantasy about a big do it all PG for years. Thats why every year there's a "tall PG" who's supposedlly better than Jameer that ultimately fails to stay in the league.

I think at the end of the day he's a SG who can occassionaly play point or be a secondary ball handler. Not sure why there's this NEED to develop him into a PG when thats clearly not his strength.

obviously guys that have a chance at being top picks in one of the strongest drafts in recent memory are probably going to stick around in the league...what I'm referring to are all the pg's over the years who were supposed to be "better than Nelson" just because they were bigger.

I am not sure myself. If you are talking about players who have a chance at being top picks, then I am serious. but, if you are talking about all PG's that were bigger, then I am talking trash. 8-)

Top 100 players in 2017. 3 Magicians make the list. Nik 69, Victor 44, Tobias 41. Wiggins lands at #8.

well I assumed it was obvious that I meant just any player who had the potential to be decent. Of course top picks stand a chance to be better than him since he's a third tier pg IMO.

When you talk about any player that had the potential to be decent, Reece Gaines is the first that comes to mind for me.

really? Because I remember Jimmer fredette, josh Shelby, and Kendall Marshall. Never mind all the PGs that have come through Orlando: Dad, Ish Smith, Beno.

Then the players on other teams: devin Harris, Mo Williams, Darren Collison...

If Oladipo plays well at PG. Drafting Exum could create a extremely dynamic team, we'd have 4 players who could start two different positions; Exum PG/SG, Oladipo SG/PG, Harkless SG/SF, Harris SF/PF.

I do think Exum could become a top 3 PG (if he reaches his potential) but Smart is the safer pick, and his potential is also extremely high. Smart showed so much throughout this summer alone, at the team USA mini-camp.

I don't think we pass on chances to draft the top 3 though, Wiggins/Parker/Randle are all franchise changing players and we could easily adapt with our roster.

I'm reading Jonny Flynn is trying to make a come back in the NBA. Dude has shown some flashes of talent during his stint in Minnesota and he seems healthy now. I would love the Magic to give the kid a chance. He can't be worst than Price as a 3rd string PG.

Unless Flynn somehow learned how to pass the ball, I have no interest.
