Those guys had some 1st game nerves and it probably didn't help 'em to have to look over and see Henny's crossed arms and emotionless face observing them as they played. They'll be alright.

8th seed

I think we might be regretting passing up on Exum unfortunately.

Hopefully not

Marble may get the nod over curry. I also think Osby make roster over Nicholson. Nicholson just doe not add anything at this point. He not the good of a shooter and is of no help on defense.

I also don't see why today means anything about Exum. Gordon is younger and Bigs tend to take a longer to develop.
I think it will be 2-3 years at least before we can say who we should have taken with the 4th pick.

This was probably your first time watching Nicholson because he's definitely a good shooter.

We have space to sign Osby, Marble, and Curry while having Dedmon, Ben Gordon, and KOQ too.

Shipping out Nelson officially ended an era.

Trading Afflalo is puzzling as he was a "Henni" guy, but I think it was a move towards essentially turning-over 2/3 of our core after two bottom 3 seasons. Can't say I blame Hennigan for that.

I fully expect Vucevic to cement himself as a core player for this '14-'15 season, and I expect that Harris and Oladipo will round out this season's "Big 3".

I do not expect Hennigan to target a player that will threaten to earn a top 3 spot in minutes played, and if we do bring in a free agent outside of our Summer League team it will be a role player like Ben Gordon or a veteran presence like Willie Green.

Right now my preferred depth chart:

Oladipo|Payton
Fournier|B.Gordon|Green
Harkless|A.Gordon
Harris|O'Quinn|Nicholson
Vucevic|Dedmon

I think we sign Marble but leave the other two spots open for 'flexibility'.

My bench rotation would be O'Quinn|B.Gordon|A.Gordon|Payton

Nicholson|Dedmon|Green and maybe Marble or whoever see very little court time but I'd wager that our tenth man in minutes will be Nicholson.

I really hope we get in on the Jarrett Jack trade. He'd be great here for where we are in this part of the rebuild. Tough, plays hard, vet, and can be a mentor for Payton.

Not quite getting the Curry love. He played like he THOUGHT he was Steph Curry, but he was definitely SETH Curry.

1. Nick was not playing
2. I've seen most of his professional games.
His shooting has been hyped but looks at the stats. Just nothing special.

He is also a liability on defense. Time to let him go.

It's not time to let any of our young players go until we give them real opportunities. JV was in full tank mode that last two years and messing with people's minutes. After this season, we can start making real decisions.

To be fair, EP got 5 assts and 3 rebounds (also 5 Os). First game jitters, that's all.

We have no choice but to let someone go! We can only have 15 guys. We can't keep Marble, Osby, Dedmond, Nicholson. Osby will be picked up by another team this time.

Dipo/Payton/Curry
Fournier/Green/BG
Harris/Harkless/Marble
OQuinn/Gordon/Osby/Nicholson
Vuc/OQuinn/Dedmond

That's 16 players and we need another true PG and we need to spend 8mil to reach the floor. Two of the above won't be on our roster opening day. We might end up waiving green, but that would make the front office look pretty bad picking him up off waivers...

That's 15, you put O'Quinn twice.

I prefer Jeremy Lin trade to Jarrett Jack trade as I want to save cap space for 2015 free agency.

I like both players and believe they can be good mentors and scoring options for us.

We have plenty of space on our roster to get everyone. We can feel good with the roster space knowing we have the ability to sign any standouts from this week or next.

Henny has made a lot of fast moves this summer. If there is a worthy player in our we will get him. Same goes for Vegas, we could see a target day 1 and sign that guy.
