What do we know abut him? Is he a good shooter? He played in the Baltic league last season.

He wasn't at KY.
But, it looks like he shot 39% from 3 last year.

Really happy to see this! I liked him a lot and surprised he didn't get drafted. Honestly believe he is going to have a great showing at the summer league and will make our team next season.

Not sure who is great out in Europe.... but any other PG of interest that might be worthy of making the move to the nba would be a good option as well to fill the gap for the time being.

Yup.... i can easily believe that. Sounds cliche... but he was a solid jumper away from being a border line first rounder. Just got buried under all the other Kentucky talent in my opinion. Tyler Ullis ran the point his freshman year... with Jamal Murray as the high usage guy..... then lost in the cracks but had a strong season playing with fox and monk.

Though the Euro line is shorter.... he certainly seems to have made some step forward over seas!

lol.... just found this article..... https://www.aseaofblue.com/2018/2/16/17022166/isaiah-briscoe-scores-50-points-on-his-way-to-winning-estonia-latvia-all-star-game-mvp... spells out the positional play he was asked for in College. Competing for time at a position that you have 5 star recruits and then playing out of position for both of your years does not help ones draft stock much.

The character endorsement by Calipari definitely speaks a lot to me too. He put his head down and ground it out. And at 22.... he still has the ability to grow into it all.

I like Briscoe. Reminds me of Lowry on the floor.

Wow. I liked Briscoe as well just irks me that these guys can’t learn to shoot. It’s infuriating.

1 of Angola, Boykins, Briscoe, Caupain, Purvis, Stephens, Wright will make the roster IMO..

Of the Guards I think Angola, Boykins or Stephens have legit shots at making a roster spot.

Angola- a very solid shooter who also enjoys the defensive side of the ball. 37% 3p shooter on 4.9 3PA per game with 1.3 steals as well. Looks like a solid 3&D guy

Boykins- this kid can straight up shoot. 4 year guy whose worst 3P% was 35% his sophomore season. Took 248 3's this year shot 39% on 7.5 3PA per game, 91% from FT line. Thing that stands out to me is he locked in on his FT% big time. Freshman year was 60% then got it to 67% then took a HUGE jump to 80% and finished at 91%.

Stephens- Played at Nevada after 2 years at Purdue and also another shooter. 37%, 38%, 31% and this year a 43% on 7.9 3PA per game. Dude broke Jimmer's 3PM in the Mountain West Conference and finished with 126 total 3's.

A scoring guard.. never heard of one.

Yes those are guys to keep an eye on. Angola came up big for FSU in the NCAA Tourney and Briscoe was a highly regarded prospect.

Was just coming to post about Justin Jackson not playing. I guess his shoulder is still a problem? Wonder if this is a thing the team knew about or was given different information before drafting him.

At least five Magic roster players on the summer league squad.

Looking forward to it big time.

Wow an Alaska Aces player. I used to go to their games when I lived in Anchorage.
