I'm pretty happy with how bamba looks, trae looks to be adapting faster than i expected but i still think he'll be a big night/bad night kind of player. If we could have trae instead of isaac i'd be hyped.

any other draft I'd be quite happy with bamba. but doncic was the surest thing since anthony davis, apparent from a miles away. and he is the exact type of player that we need. to me being the only dumb**** team that wasn't properly tanking in a year like this is a one giant strike one for the management.

Young started the game like 1-7 or something and was in the negatives and then went the hell off.

Letting rookies/young players get an opportunity to play through mistakes does wonders for them.

Atlanta and Dallas draft their guy and pretty much gives them the keys. We draft lotto picks and bench them. It’s un-f’ing-believable

What happened to Trae Young being eaten alive in the NBA?

The only other team that's been as brain dead as us in that regard is Sacramento. Fox is playing a lot, presumably because Joerger literally has no other option aside from other young guys, but guys like Iman Shumpert and Nemanja Bjelica are being heavily featured while multiple draft picks are on the bench. Thy seem to have completely given up on Skal at this point, which I think is stupid. Last year Vince Carter and Zach Randolph played a lot. Kosta Koufos is out right now with a hamstring, and I wonder what happens when he comes back. You'd hope he remains out if the rotation, but if I'm Harry Giles or Marvin Bagley, I'd be a little nervous.
11/18/2017 - I have officially disowned Nikola Vucevic and branded him a loser.

- Skal Labissiere was my guy in 2016 pre-trade. Whoops, but I still believe.
- Malik Monk was my guy in 2017. Whoops(?)
- Mo Bamba was my guy in 2018. TBD.

We draft projects. That's why. Requires an absurd amount of patience to watch our guys develop.

Pepe on suicide watch right now after Young drops 35 and 11.

Averaging 39% 3pt on 9 3pta per game with 8.3 ast... will be interesting to see where he ends up with those stats by the all star break, but this is a pretty solid start for a rookie PG.

I don't think we're second guessing the pick. Bamba at 6 is fine.

We are second guessing why we didn't do everything possible to secure a top 3 pick and get a chance to draft Luka Doncic or Young.

I wonder how many other players around the league are now willing to pay that 2 or 3 games to get the satisfaction of punching Chris Paul, Harden or any other player who is annoying to them.
Woj is the new Bucher. Shams is the new Woj. Espn is the new TMZ. The NBA is the new WWE.
Boo.

They got off pretty easy. Rondo spit on and punched Paul and only gets 3 games?

who should we have given the keys to? we did to dipo because he looked ready, payton basically too. everyone else has been a massive project. bamba looks the most refined we've had since those guys so it will be interesting to see if we up his usage but then his body doesn't look ready to bang with nba bigs.

Pepe is not here when Young goes off and someone else compares doncic to Anthony Davis. Hilarious.

Young made five 30+ footers tonight... another handful of games he'll probably have more of those than our team has during the entire rebuild.

NO ONE is playing defense so far this season. The freedom of movement foul calls are creating an absolute scorefest for virtually every team, every night.

I love Doncic.

Lakers are going to have trouble all year against good teams because of their lack of shooting and rebounding.

Doncic looks great.

You are right the rules are just a nightmare, it's bull that at the same time offensive players still throw elbows hooks and pushoff without calls. Embiid did it a couple of times to vuc last night and he got frustrated must be tough when you are already heavily outmatched and the one time you do get good position on defense you get a forearm shove and give up points anyway.
Its getting out of hand. Embid was pushing off with the arm or shoulder. He is already too good, he doesn't need extra help from officiating. Also seems like every team is scoring 130 with lil resistance at best. Is scoring fun? Yes. But is scoring with absolutely no defense fun? Its not very appealing. There is a reason the all-star game has become unwatchable.

We should have drafted guys like DSJr and given him the keys. A) we don’t play our youngsters enough and B) We draft athletes over basketball players.

Agreed but we don’t fully commit to tanking (look at Dallas’ box scores the last few games when they out-tanked us), we don’t draft basketball players, and we have coaches worried more about winning than developing talent.
