Austin Reaves came in and changed the complexion of this game from the Lakers. Have to do a better job on him.

10 3s already in the first half for the Lakers. Well, we know how this game will go.

Rough 2nd quarter. Lucky to only be down 10. Lakers bench and their 3 point shooting are the main difference.

But teams have only made 38.9% of them coming into tonight, which is just 17th in the league.
That percentage keeps going up though...
Good info. I didn't care what the stats said early on. You can't win in the playoff giving up open shots, let alone open 3's. It's just a STUPID strategy in 2023. If we want to build a winner Mosley better fix that.

Well we're actually playing better than i thought but those last few minutes were hard to watch, our 3 pt shot is nonexistent tonight.

It feels like we're 0-82 this year in making more threes than the opponent each game. Going to need Knightro to query this for me.

On pace to attempt 12 fewer threes for the game.
Hard to consistently win when you're virtually guaranteed to be outscored by 12 to 18 points from the 3PT line pretty much every night.

The +/- of the bench minus Kevon hurts my eyes... crazy numbers for a half

Magic have made more threes than their opponents 20 times this season.
They've made fewer 51 times.

Austin Reaves isn't a scrub. He's a bench player averaging 11/3/3 on 51/38/85 splits. I'd GLADLY have him on our squad.

This is one of those halfs where we're getting beat because the other team is knocking down shots and not really because we're doing anything wrong. We're just getting beat.

Orlando will be down 20+ In the 3rd quarter if they don’t figure out their 3 point defense.

We gave up way to many open 3s.

If you give up a ridiculous amount of open 3's to an NBA team in 2023, you are doing something wrong.

I don't know if it's necessarily a strategy or if the Magic just have a team full of young and dumb defenders who are prone to lazy effort and mistakes and because of that Mosley's dumbed down the defensive schemes to keep them from giving up layups.
The Magic are top 5 in the league in fewest shots allowed at the rim.
