I agree. I get the appeal of wanting a local company, but at the end of the day Kia is a huge brand that makes trillions of dollars and is deeply entwined with the NBA already.

Regardless of how anyone feels about their car offerings themselves (and Kia vehicles are actually rankesd higher than people would expect by Car and Driver), it sure seems like this is a home run deal for the Magic.

It can be rather embarrassing for the city. Miami sold the rights to the arena to FTX for like 20 years and then.....oops. Only lasted like a year or so before company imploded (soo much for the city of Miami embracing anything crypto related). At least Kia has staying power.

Not a bad association. Kia has improved quality and gained tons of market share. Pretty much the Golden State Warriors of car manufacturers.

Huge improvement over the junk-peddling pyramid scheme Amway. And it actually sounds kinda cool.

Kia's vehicles have risen in stature over the past several years. It's not unusual to see Tellurides rolling around Winter Park.

There are a lot worse names than Kia Center.

I remember when TD Waterhouse Centre was announced, I was like, "This is so lame."

The new KIA Center logo looks cutting-edge and futuristic so that's cool.

Not bad! Huge upgrade over Amway Arena, and didn't do something lame like the Smoothie King Arena. Kia Center is super benign and mid and that is perfect.

the KIA logo is definitely the best part about Kia, lol. This won't thrill anyone but it's a pretty solid sponsor and arena name.

There was the Talking Stick Resort Arena and FTX Arena so it could be worse. The again Amway MLM scheme scam Center was pretty bad too.
