Huh? So far againts JPN i think he went 1-7 from 3pt range. Im no Einstein but I dont think thats 40%...

I think the 40% refers to the build up games. Let's see if the 1-7 is a blip. On that note, how annoying are the Olympic App boxscores, no 3p fgm/fga

Ah.. I see. Although TBH, I expected it to be lower cuz I don't think he shot it that well in the exhibitions as well.

Yeah fair call. I didn't get to watch them, but I guess a bunch of 2 from 5 doesn't sound as good as 40%

And the US still cooked them in the end. The only hope for any other team (and that's the decent ones, only) is that they get hot from 3 and the US goes really cold during a game in the knockout stage.
USA played unreal on offense. I don't think that's sustainable.

I mean they have 3 of the most unguardable players in basketball history, who have a combined what.. 50 years of sustaining excellence offensively?

Curry, LeBron, and Durant are way outside their primes, hardly unguardable. They are the favorites, but aren't this much better than the field.

How much better than the field are they in your opinion?

I think the line was +15 for the USA over Serbia?

The flat trajectory is going to affect him less from the FIBA line. So expect his 3pt% to be better. But he needs to rework the whole thing imo. Get Houstan to work with him.

Khem Birch in action for Canada, almost forgot about him/that he was Canadian.

Obiously he's not doing anything spectactular, but at this point he's a solid role player who knows what to do. Plays by FIBA rules in Spain these days, too.

That's just some political bs lying, right there. If it actually made him feel like an idiot, he'd have played him. And now Tatum will get to play against South Sudan as if that means anything other than that he's on the junior varsity of US players, despite being 1st team All-NBA and the theoretical best player on the recent champions. Painful. But I'm not sure that I disagree with the decision.

Franz looks swole as hell out there, but maybe it's just the jersey.

I hope to see him take over in the second half. 3 still looking iffy.. defense and drives still elite.

Franz getting it going in the second half, especially on defense

As I write that, a super cheap foul call against Franz on a Brazil 3... (nvm it was called on the loose ball)

Still his 3point shooting is atrocious. You can see it in his body language, it’s on his mind. Even teammates are trying to comfort him after another wide open missed 3. Not good.

Well that was pretty much a “zaadpot”

I do enjoy this type of bball. So much more team oriented. Hopefully Franz bounces back because this wasn’t max worthy..

Or maybe... he is just surrounded by beefcakes like Paolo, WCJ and Suggs which makes him waaaaay slimmer than normal compared to them?

Franz is just showing the world what everyone already knows... its the 3pt shot that's the mystery.

Yup.. that's why I said, he is just showing the world he is still elite at being 7foot and dribbling through traffic and using Euro steps to get points. Its his 3pt shots that still confounding everyone. Like where is it??
