I also don't think a G League guy should be here...watch other orgs start grabbing playground/YouTube dunk gods to their G League teams just for this.

I'd also say...he was the G-League MVP, he can handle and shoot...is he really THAT bad that he can't get a minute on a team that was in tatters for months?

As nice as it was to see the Magic jersey on tv i agree with you and think similar to the all-star game there should be a minimum of games played in the season to be eligible.

The NBA wants so badly for its dunk contest to be the main attraction to All-Star Weekend they make exceptions. For Mac it’s cool, he just made himself $100K winning it and that’s a lot of money for someone in the G-League BUT that’s freaking DIRT CHEAP for the NBA.

That photo of Mac jumping over that KIA is being seen everywhere today. Talk about cheap publicity for KIA and the NBA. Kinda feels like exploitation honestly. He won the contest but in the end feels like the robbed him smh.

KIA should put him in a commercial and pay him a million.

Hopefully he’s has a good agent that can work this in his favor. Next year have him skip the NBA’s Dunk Contest and have some other car company offer him $500K + to jump over one of their cars and do some ridiculous dunk lol. Do you wanna steal some headlines? Have the defending slam dunk champion not show up to the NBA’s event just to do one for you.

Extremely unlikely that he just "snuck" a KIA in there...guaranteed that KIA paid quite a bit or maybe even had some kind of exclusivity in place (after previously paying quite a bit).

Nothing is free and Adam Silver is watching...all those jersey patches and pop up ads and in-game shout outs...freakin' Starry shot contaminating the 3pt contest...endless and never by accident or free

Kia is the official automotive partner of the NBA so they definitely aren’t rolling out any other car company to promote in its dunk contest

Kyrie dunking off the table is literally the only thing worth seeing

This is probably the worst all star game of all time.

They took aspects of a game fans heated the most- loooooooooong breaks, commercials, no effort, watching people shoot half court shots and went x500000 on that.

Fact that Lebron flat out didn't play and it was announced hour before, to suck people into not skipping is probably most pathetic aspect of it.
