No trade coming guys... it's pretty much a foregone conclusion... and watch us botch the signing of Troy Murhpy after the deadling though, as he chooses Boston or Miami over us (and honestly, who cares about Troy Murphy, he doesn't fill a void or need)... and we're left with the team we have... nothing is going to happen

We're basically the 6th seed in the East at this point. NY, ATL, CHI did what they had to do.

only because Arenas' contract is worse.

Our very very very last hope:

@tribjazz Brian T. Smith
Jazz are "still working" as trade deadline approaches.
No one's untouchable on Jazz roster.

@stevekylerNBA Steve Kyler
Knicks sources say both Renaldo Balkman and Corey Brewer are being shopped - Knicks want roster spots for waived free agents...

Houston is in talks to get Wallace

@KBerg_CBS Ken Berger
Sources say Bobcats turned to Houston and Cleveland for Gerald Wallace after Blazers talks broke down. Cleveland a no-go.

[Comment From steve steve: ]
If Otis doesn't do anything then that is an indication that they have Murphy in the bag. There is no way they would do nothing to pick up a big, right? We need Murphy's 3.9 points per game!?

You could be right, Steve. Magic fans can hope so, anyway.

unfair?

Yeah. Otis is not perfect, but a lot of the crap he takes are unwarranted. People act as if he spent today sleeping in and then watch old Andy Griffith reruns.

Otis built a title contender in Orlando. He went all in on this team a few years ago, crapping out our cap space. There was no way he could have known then that the NBA would lose it'sa damn mind and superteams would start popping up out of the woodwork. Was every move perfect? Of course not. But, he had us like 2 games from a title and most of the moves he made that killed our cap space now are moves that were met with happiness by most of the fanbase at the time.

This is true, but look at the mess he has currently put us in.[/quote]

For years people griped about not spending on free agents...Otis did
For years this board griped about not making trades...Otis has 4 times the last 3 years
For years this board cried to spend over the cap...Otis has
This past summer there was a movement for Arenas....Otis made the move and it blew up.

I'm not usually a doom and gloom guy, but IMO this could well be the day we look back at as the exact moment we lost Dwight Howard.

Why can't Gil just be like he is in 2k11? Our problems would be solved.

I don't expect Otis to do anything but deflect trade proposals for Dwight 'til 3pm.

I hate sitting around waiting to see what this amateur GM is going to do. I still get a giggle out of the Cook/Evans for Ariza deal LOL
