Nah that ship sailed awhile ago. I thought so up until the last trade request. I even still think there is a chance that he might if they held on to him all year, but Orlando isn't going to take that chance. I think everyone is fed up with the situation and is ready to move on.

Have to face reality, not even mad he is going to be dealt...we better get a good return though. Will miss Dwight, was my favourite player but this latest fiasco has really changed my opinion on him..

How the hell does Orlando rebuild with Bynum on a max deal(if he stays), Blake, McRoberts, Eyenga and 2 very late firsts? damn...

What is this???? I wake up this morning and all of a sudden winds have shifted to a 3 team LA/Hou/Orl trade
In Hennigan I trust!!!
I stated yesterday the young talent + their ability to take on some of our bad contracts was the key with Houston offerening a MUCH better deal
Now we just have to HOPE the Nets screw the pooch and sign Lopez to the long term max contract
WOOT WOOT this is starting to get fun

what can't we unload Duhon in any of these trade scenarios? I don't like the Richardson deal, but at least the guy contributes and is a serviceable players.

why do we have to? After this year, he can be bought out for $1.5m.
I would rather keep him if it can be used to get another sweetener to the trade, versus 1 less sweetener just to move him

Exactly. If we are in full rebuild then we try and get rid of JRich and BBD and keep Dudu and Hedo as they both can be bought out of their partials after this season.

Any idea what the specifics of the Rockets /Laker deal would be? I know we wouldent get Bynum but what would we get? Do the Rockets have extra first rounds picks to give?

Re: OFFICIAL DWIGHT HOWARD TRADE / SPECULATION / THOUGHT THR
Here's one framework that works:
To LA Lakers - Howard, J.Richardson
To Houston - Bynum, Eyenga
To Orlando - Martin, Patterson, McRoberts, + young assets
The part that would have to be negotiated is how much Orlando would get in terms of future 1sts and/or young players (newly drafted guys from Houston, such as Royce White). Houston has a 2013 Dallas pick and a 2013 Raptors pick (each with various protections), and the usual 2015, 2017, etc. The Lakers can only offer their 2017 first and beyond (due to the Nash trade).
If you want to dump Glen Davis as well, this also works:
To LA Lakers - Howard, J.Richardson
To Houston - Bynum, G.Davis
To Orlando - Martin, Patterson, McRoberts, Morris, Eyenga, Greg Smith, Diamon Simpson + slightly less young assets than you'd get without dumping Davis
None of those guys you take back have contracts beyond next season (although you have team options on some), and you could just waive a bunch of the guys you don't want.

u can expect Orl to move Q s contract aswell
i think it s a good deal for each team (depending on how many 1st we end up with), much better than the NJ deal
great deal for LAL (bynum and D12 r both expiering but D12 is better)
Houston finally get the franchise player they ve been looking for since Yao went down
We get rid of our bad contract and load with young talent and future 1st

Sorry but JRich have not a bad contract, Hedo have a bad contract.
ALWAYS move without Hedo is a bad move, at brooklin, at LA or Houston.

Well, here's one way to dump Hedo
To Lakers - Howard, Scola
To Houston - Bynum, Turkoglu
To Orlando - Martin, Patterson, McRoberts, Blake, + young assets

I'm sorry, are you talking about my post or something else? I can't get the link to open.
My mother told me, she said, "Elwood, to make it in this world you either have to be oh, so clever or oh, so pleasant." Well, for years I was clever; I recommend pleasant.
