True but we could match any offer, so if they really wanted him they could do a sign and trade.

Coming to the chilling and sad realization that the Magic have no intention of building a contender this season. Looks like reboot time

The only reason the Kings to a S&T is if they think the Magic will match.

So NJ did what they needed to do to keep Deron, good for them. Now lets watch and laugh as they throw stupid money at Lopez and Humphries

Ryan is a restricted free agent. IF they really want him, they have to make a deal.

+1

We have the upper hand because we can match the Kings offer.

Yeah, but should we match 10M per year (thats the kind of contract Batum will get)?
Ryno doesnt worth it.

My brother just made a good point to me, but can't the nets just Amnesty Joe Johnson next year?

I mean the team's owner has some major deep pockets..

The Maloofs are broke, they are not offering a huge salary to Anderson.
Smart / Micic / D. Wright
Wiggins / Exum / J. Adams
Parker / K. Anderson / Mcdermott
Randle / Vonleh / Stokes
Embiid / Nurkic/ Tavares

With New Jersey and Golden State out it might hurt his value. I would rather him go west and would take less in return if it meant we only see him 2 times a year.

Our options still look like the Lakers, Houston, Dallas and the Clippers.
Lakers trade
Bynum for Howard and Odom TPE for JRich and Duhon

Houston trade
Martin, Lowry, White, Lamb for Howard, Duhon

Dallas trade
After they clear thier cap and amnesty Haywood
Marion, Beaubois, Cunninham, Crowder for Howard, JRich, Duhon

Clippers trade
Jordan, Butler, Bledsoe for Howard, Duhon

Houston seems to be the best fit and you hope he stays, although if you send him to LA he is less likely to sign with Atl in the offseason.

You mean, the Magic use the ability to match as a threat? In which Sac does a S&T in order to avoid us matching?

Perhaps you're right here. I've never heard of it happening before.

We can pull a Gortat, match anything and trade him somewhere else Dec 15th. Usually the best option, if the team doesn't need the space this offseason.
