Do you think the kings would consider a swap of WCS for Elfrid?

No one available is. We don't even know for sure that someone in the draft will be. That is why I think we ride Elf until he either develops or a sure fire answer presents itself. His scoring helps the tank but he is still pretty good at getting other people involved. Perfect combination for this tank.

I really hope the Magic don't go after him.

Dj, Raptors pick, cj watson, for Reggie and Pistons pick :P

Haha. That's extremely one sided. No way they give up a potential lottery pick and Jackson for career backups and a mid to late pick in the 20s. It would be great if rob could talk svg into it though.

True. The best solution for the point guard issue is really simple. Play elfrid for 35 minutes a game. That and guys knocking down some shots would help. He gives plenty of good looks to his teammates and they tend to miss a lot. When we spread the floor and he attacks the paint he can get to the rim pretty easily and collapse defenses. When he's doing that his confidence is up and it flows over to his defense. Eventually he will make it look like Philly got fleeced when they traded him.

There is no reason to trade for Reggie Jackson. In the above scenario I would try to reroute Reggie Jacksonto a third team

The Green problem resolves itself in a few months. Reggie Jackson has three more years guaranteed on his deal after this one.

Yes, but we can use Green in a trade. why not?
Payton is worse than Reggie if we omitt the salary. And it can be an opportunity to improve our draft pick, which is more important for me.

It's simple, management needs to decide what route we are taking in regards to the rebuild. Are we going full tank or are we still trying to compete sooner than later "by taking calculated risks". I think it would be the later.

I could see us flipping Payton/Green/two seconds for Jackson and trying to pull a Butler trade at draft offering our pick/LA pick/Gordon and whatever for Butler and going after Gallo hard in the off season.

How would a starting 5 of the following hold up in the east?

Jackson
Fournier
Butler
Gallo
Biyombo

it doesnt net us a high pick, it trades our new pick for a better one, but only slightly. Detroit is in the playoffs right now, so it would also be a non-lottery pick. so as of right now it would be trading 26 for 16. i personally wouldnt call #16 a "high" pick

You do know he's referring to JIMMY Butler not Caron Butler right?

Two thoughts I have right now. I really haven't decided how I feel on either, I just clearly seem believe each is worth thinking through.

1) The Pelicans want an offensive big man but news is out that their attempts at acquiring Okafor have fallen through. What could we get from them for Vuc? They were offering a draft pick before. Could we send Vuc + Clippers pick for their 2017 first? I don't see them parting with that pick easily but more and more talk is coming of Anthony Davis growing tired of the process. They might value a player over a pic right now if it means they keep Davis.

2) Andre Drummond is on the trade market. Would we or should we have any interest? Biz + Drummond would be hideous.

Maybe we could trade Vuc and the LAC/TOR pick for the Pelican's top 3 protected 2017 pick (2018 unprotected) and a bad contract? Then follow that up with Biyombo, Augustin and the better of the LAL/ORL 2nd for Drummond? I think that stuff sounds somewhat reasonable.

wow, I haven't seen the standings in a while, I thought Detroit was still a lottery bound team

Yeah. I would absolutely call the Pelicans with Vuc for a top 3 protected pick. I would expect a no thanks, but why not call?
