We had a $4.5 TPE from Ryno, but what advantage does that do us if we used a TPE or simply matched the salary with Mcbobs?

But how does that work exactly? If you use a TPE to acquire Warrick, but send out Mcbob...doesn't the TPE go to Charlotte? That's how ESPN Trade Machine shows it. Did Charlotte have the room to simply absorb Mcbob straight up and that's why we get a TPE from it?

I think I get how it works....pretty Smart on Henny's part to keep another TPE alive for a year. Basically we absorbed Warrick's deal for our Ryno TPE (which sends Charlotte a TPE of their own). Then, in another trade, since Charlotte would now be $4mil under the cap after Warrick has been traded, they can straight up absorb Mcbob and give us a TPE for Mcbob's full salary.

That warrick trade doesn't seem like much on the outside but the fact that henny put that much thought into a "simple" trade like that makes you realize how much thought and determination he puts into every move. Future looks bright with this guy.

3.1 mil. Ryan's expired on July 9th, free agency begins July 10th. Great move by Henny. Magic now have about 1 billion dollars in TPEs

Fellas, we might have one of the best future GM's in the NBA. We took a risk hiring someone so young but he's done great things with the sinking ship he was given. I'm crazy excited for the draft..hope we do get the #1 pick! I love this guy!

Basically we extended our TPE from Ryno, otherwise it would have expired on July 9th. Free agency begins July 10th.

Rob is really clever with this stuff.

It is! but I guess cause henny had Harrington included in deal that makes him AWFUL as a GM cause Harrington is gonna screw up our team like forever according to some people
