It really is easy to forget that he's a rookie.

I find myself holding him to such high standards when watching games that I think I can be somewhat unfair to him at times. The beautiful thing is he's set those standards though. Throughout points this season when he's been more of a focal point in the offense, his confidence and aggression offensively were at high points.

Now, he's just not getting those same on-ball reps. Reps I think he needs to be getting. I'm hoping that upper-management identifies that this summer and moves on from Cole. I think we have the chance to really develop Franz into a special scorer/playmaker in this league, but we can't relegate him by keeping Cole in the starting lineup.

We saw at Michigan and we've seen at points this season that Franz has no problem playing a limited glue-guy role on offense. While that's valuable, I think he can be far more.

Among players who have contested at least 700 shots this season, that’s ninth-best in the league. The only two small forwards with a better contesting defensive field goal percentage are Andrew Wiggins (39.6 percent) and Mikal Bridges (41.1 percent).
