I'd love to know a) which player that was, and b) just how much he was actually joking. I imagine that given the situation with Dwight, our players must be more aware than others that they might be about to be traded.

It was probably Dwight, JUST JOKING!

I've said the same thing without being flamed. If he's the cost of getting Monta without giving up too much in return, you have to do it. He'd be one of the better backups in the league, he's just on a horrific contract.

Must just be your personality that invites flaming

Andris isn't a good player anymore. Maybe a change of scenery would do him good though. The free throw issues are in his head and have broke him. He shies away from all contact on offense

I'm not talking in the terms of him starting or having a massive role (I wouldn't want that at all) but you can do a lot worse than 4.5 rebounds and a block in 16mpg from your backup center. The contract makes acquiring him a little vomit-inducing, but if you look at it from the perspective that you'd be getting a decent backup center and a 20+ppg, 5+apg guard for a combined $20m a year, I could live with that.

One can hope. Unless it's part of a Dwight package, in which case it gives me a sad.

Rudolph sounds like he has an in with Dwight from some of the things he's been saying. I don't think you can just dismiss him.

SVG talked about how distracted and worried some of the guys on the team are right now. Anyone buy that after the trade deadline, we'll see more nights like the first 3 quarters of the OKC game? Effort, energy, penetration?

OK....so let's say we do get the very fortunate situation of getting another star, say Ellis to team with Dwight. Our "big 2". What 3rd piece would people want to go after (has to be realistic given timing, pay, their current situation, etc)?

I think an ideal fit would be JSmoov....with prob Iggy close behind.

A team of

Monta
JRich/JJ
JSmoov/Iggy
?
Dwight

would be pretty nasty. Got your scorer, your shooter, your wing defender, your rebounders and interior defenders.

The reality, though is that we may have to give up Ryan to obtain a guy like Ellis. Also, what do you think JSmoov/Iggy would command in the first year or their next contracts? Somewhere in the range of $11-$13mil a year? Is it financially feasible to have enough caproom in 2013 to sign one of those guys if they opt out? Other suggestions/moves?

Nobody is saying he's a 20/10 player, but he does play decent post defense and isnt a bad back up overall. His contract makes me want to run down the street kicking children but other than that.

If we get Ellis and Dwight stays, Josh Smith is on the top of my list of players to get if Ryno is moved for Ellis. If Ryno is still here with Ellis and D12, need to get a wing defender.

Embarrassing. If Dwight does leave, I hope he comes out and blames it on that video.

Ariza or Iggy would be on my wishlist. Both are good defenders and solid scorers. They also seem like team-first guys. Josh Smith's talents are amazing but his mentality scares me.
