Earn minutes dialogue will be played even more. Clifford is an advocate of playing rookies meaningful minutes and not just for the sake of playing them. I do think Cole will play, but to get more minutes, I think Cole will have to earn it.

I do believe this is a make or break season for us, I dont think they did it this yr though with the offseason being so compact.

JI/Aminu/Bamba.....those guys are key players that we need that we won't have for a while if not the whole season.....which to me says the season is shot before it even begins...so in that scenario why not give the new kids every opportunity to see what they got in a year where we as an organization is in flux? How much longer are we doing the whole coddling thing? sink or swim, time to take the training wheels off....give them the keys at least for this season and lets see what they got

In my opinion , only JI Is a key player . Aminu barely played with this team and was terrible before the injury . Bamba has never played significant minutes for the Magic , has yet been able to outplay khem birch. You act like
The magic haven’t been relying on young players . Markelle literally was our starter last year and Same with JI . They have let Gordon start from almost day 1 . The problem with this team is there is still no star , closest thing we have had is vuc , which doesn’t say much for the front office and their inability to improve the talent on this roster

I agree for the most part but I don't think its a reflection on an ability to improve talent. These guys have limitations to what they can become, and most of the improvement comes from the players and how hard they work in the offseason.

Are you married? That will be your answer.

He married the wrong woman then. And yes, I am married.

Admit it, she made you wrote this, now she will make you write "noo, she didn't , i love my wife"

Yeah I didn’t mean it’s the front office job to make the individual players better but they have yet to add any significant pieces outside of Markelle who is still undetermined of how Good he can get . If Okeke is good it will Definitely change the perception of the front office

Nope. People just make stupid decisions and marry people that they shouldn't. Then again, maybe people are getting smarter because the marriage rate has been crashing to all time lows.

Agreed. JI made his flash in the pan. But Mo Bamba was about to make the right step.... I don't think people might realize the effects weight may have on SOME players. The guy was the same weight as most SG. the extra weight was a planned necessity and he finally hit a pretty good milestone and was about to take a step in the right direction.... then Covid happened.

Aminu... stunk it up biiiiig time on the offensive end.... but was probably one of the better catalysts on the defensive end. Still i don't believe he had no room to rebound ... even during the season he could have acclimated himself to the new team. It's just easier for many to put a nail in the coffin. lol He could have easily brought what Ennis would have but at a higher level... even as a role/support player. Tried hard and just came out the gate shooting like kaka. We'll see!

But... yep... this does clear more opportunity for Okeke... which I am happy about. Now... let's hope he comes in strong.

Anybody else miss the old (Coach Skiles) days when the goal for the season was to have a winning record instead of making the playoffs??

We're not making the playoffs, and I'm honestly kinda glad.

That's the first thing I thought. When it came across the screen I was worried it was going to say Orlando. Sure, Westbrook would have made us way more fun to watch and competitive, but now it should force management's hand to blow it up. We're likely the worst team in the division. MAYBE Charlotte is worse than us or Atlanta is still a year away, but either teams in the East have made moves to leapfrog us or they are still substantially better. Even the likes of Cleveland and Detroit could potentially be better than us. BLOW IT UP.

This year would be perfect for rebuilding. Many teams in the East have gotten better. I don't know what the point of running the same damn star-less team back another year is doing?

We deserve to be where we are. We've been running back this sub par core for around 5 years? The total lack of substantial FA signings, trades and effective medical care. A lack of use of draft picks, useless wins at the end of the season, pointless pride in being an 8th seed in a weak east('12 bucks anyone?). Brown bag organization at the moment. No stars, no potential stars. Just mediocrity. Now sub par mediocrity.

Well the pro tank team is gonna be happy...

For me as long as Okeke Cole and Fultz will be featured heavily, I couldnt care less if we win or lose. Win and make the POs im happy beacuse we let the young guns do it, lose and well... Suggs, Green , Cunningham etc is just waiting for our pick (lol)

I'm not a Westbrook fan and wouldn't want to trade for him. But Russ on the Wizards is a better team than the Magic. No question.

What's most irritating part is that they are refusing to tank, but also do nothing to improve current roster.
LIke, what a hell is your goal, Weltman ? Did you gambled all your retirmant money on Magic win range 30-34?

My only guess is stealth tank + naturally sucking + try to get more value out of players at trade deadline compared to what was offered now.

Tbh there is no better time to trade them than is today.
They are healthy ( Evan, Gordon, Vuc, Ross ) and GMs might don't know yet how bad Bamba is so you can sell that thing also.
By the trade deadline somebody can get hurt, somebody can play like dog**** :dontknow:

This roster, on improved East is fringe play- in team, that means he is maybe better than 4 out of 15 teams from conference :banghead: , but they are not even really "better", they just try to win, when few teams still don't ( Pistons,Cavs , Knicks, maybe Hornets).

It's just time to hit restart button.
And i don't think that trading Evan for 2021, 22-30th pick and some dead cap players + bench filler is worth it if nothing else follows.
Last nail in a coffin can be " Magic exstended Markelle Fultz on 4 years $90M contract" . It will just mean they are doubling down on their own stupidity.
