it's because people decide to become man fans instead of the team fans....so when they pass up on someone they want they jump out the window.....we needed shooting....he's more than adequate there

We all spend weeks looking at these mocks drafts and thinking that Dick was better than Jett. I don’t think there is much difference we just get indoctrinated by the mocks.
Fine print disclaimer for Fultz:
I am high on Markelle Fultz. Yes I understand he is not perfect and needs to shoot more and better and turn the ball over less. I would really like to see him play one more year… and I did and he sucks time to move on.

Howard Mass wrote:A lot of you might not be happy with Anthony Black and Jett Howard (Both on my Big Board at 7 and 15) . A lot of us were not happy at first in previous years with Weltham picks.

I think people are more pissed that Cam Whitmore Gradey Dick Kobe Bufkin and maybe Kevonte George and Jordan Hawkins were passed on for Jett Howard. I had them higher too but let's see what happens.
This,

Jett will be a really good pro and Franz

Quite underwhelming taking two project players who could just as easily drop out of the league as much as create a role for themselves. I don't see either being starting level players, but more role players. I reckon Wheltman was looking for role players this draft. They could prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

They're gonna play this non-shooter on the wing and keep all the incumbent guards. Sickening.

Whitmore is 100% going to either Lakers or heat. They love drafting guys that fall and then everyone wonders how they got past up on.

Oh, Cousin of Angel Reese.
I didn't like her trolling of the losing team in the playoffs.
Also didn't like the way she treated the White House visit offer.
But no doubt about the talent.

This was around the end of January, I think there were maybe 7-8 games after this - he didn't shoot amazingly in them but it's not like he was a 2nd rounder

I just think if your're sold on pure shooting, Hawkins made more sense. Grady had more of a potential 3&D skillset. Theres just no sense in taking Jett at 11.

They will hoard all the players even if it doesn’t make sense.

It actually makes me happier with the pick. He was ON FIRE to start the year and looked like a top 10 pick. I don't know when he got injured but he was damn impressive early on.

this is really Okeke 2.0 on so many levels

I mean it's a bit different. A player carrying an injury through his college season vs a player currently injured and missing his rookie year. But not a good look that you basically have to excuse your pick instantly. Also if you're picking an injured player, I'd like them to be at least be more talented than the player being picked around/behind them. I don't think either of Okeke/Jett were/are that.

Still, he's a Magic player so I will root for him, but not enthused by this draft night, and I'm usually pretty chill about it.

I'm more worried about Howard's defense.
But if he tries hard, then a couple years under Coach M, he'll be okay for team-defense.
