Playing unsportsmanlike is another. Oladipo was having a huge game, thus he was acting a fool. He'll learn eventually not to do that...and now Oquinn, Payton, and Harris are crying on the bus with embarassment. It hurts much worse when you initiate the smack talk and lose. Most of you guys just don't understand. Its no worries.

He didn't smack talk. Wtf dude? Are you just making stuff up? He woo'd and shook his head. He didn't look at anyone in particular, he didn't stand in front of the bench he was running back down court. You really want to die on this hill don't you? You're forever going to be the "Oladipo was rude in that one game" guy.

No, he didn't talk smack. He didnt look at the GS bench or anybody. I was saying "smack talk" as an expression, not in the literal sense. What he did was yell the same thing 3 times in a row, the first time being in Curry's ear and right in front of GS bench, and then chest bump his teammate Fornier.

Its cool guys. I guess some people rather their team's players be punks... disrespectful and unsportsmanlike. I'm hoping Oladipo isnt going to be one of those types of players. ALA Lance Stephenson.

I guess I personally just am the "let your game do the talking" type of guy. And there are MANY reasons why I rather be that way. No good comes out of excessive talking/celebrating(especially early).

Magic played well...much better than the last matchup. O'Quinn impressed. Not ready to beat a team like GSW in the clutch...but shows progress. Good solid effort.
CENSORED... No comment.

*sigh*

Only a handful of guys here understood the point i'm trying to make...that what Oladipo did can only harm, not help.

The rest of you posters probably never played enough competitive level sports to even fathom what i'm trying to explain....

Not trolling, bro.

Trying to make a valid point where I failed to realize half of ya'll probably never made it past High school sports. Sports psychology...its hard to understand for the less experienced.

Whaaaaaaaaat?????????????? It was a basic celebratory thing. Nothing malicious about it.
You are reaching.....and many of us did play high-level competitive sports. You must have played at a private school.....only they would care about Captain Karma on something this non-threatening.

Loved the effort from our guys, once again wasn't happy with JV.

WILLIE GREEN, pulling Victor when he's red hot, blowing all his timeouts, and yet another terrible play drawn up at the end

Willie Green is one of the worst players in the NBA and he played 20 mins and took 7 shots last night

Yelling at the top of your lungs, deliberately, 3 times in a row is basic celebration. Sure it is.

Those assumptions are amusing. I actually played 6A high school, D1 baseball here in florida, and entry level professional baseball.

Let your gameplay do the talking, is what I've always been taught. Is Oladipo NOT going to react after drilling that? Of course he is going to react in excitement. But to do what he did by overdoing it was dumb. Watch it again...its in the 4:08 mark of the 4th quarter. You dont even have to search for it, I just made it easier for you.

So you are comparing emotions in Baseball to the emotions in Basketball? LOL I see where you get it now... You are use to not showing emotion because there really isn't much to get excited about in baseball...

Orlando Magic (7-12) @ Golden State Warriors (14-2)

Post#1079 » by tooler » Wed Dec 3, 2014 4:48 pm

Browsing through the schedule results for 2013-2014 shows how far this team has come against the West on the road.

Last season
Western Conference road wins: 0
Closest margin of defeat, playoff team: Lost at OKC by 3
Closest margin of defeat, non-playoff team: Lost at Utah by 1
Record during 5 game West road trip: 0-5
Point differential during 5 game West road trip: -20.2 per game

Last year, they crumbled out west. So far this year they've been fighting. The Indiana game was a wakeup call.

Let's see how they do on the back-to-backs.

Who's the troll now?

If i need to validate myself even further, I play basketball 3 days a week now after stopping baseball. I also watch almost every, single, magic game. And I have watched almost every single magic game for the past 10+ years.

Sports psychology is not rocket science. Your arguement of baseball vs basketball is troll.

The only point i was trying to make before people were jumping to the conclusion that i proclaimed his unsportsmanlike conduct cost us the game....

was that it doesnt do us any help to act that way. Might as well not overreact and let the opposing team dwell on their mistakes than to rile them up with anger. Especially on THEIR court against the BEST team (right now).
