The General Board thinks we are going to be a bottom 4 team in the East post Westbrook trade :D

I still think we're a better team than the Wizards. Westbrook adds more talent but they still aren't playing any defense.

1. Bucks
2. Nets
3. 76ers
4. Heat
5. Raptors
6. Celtics
7. Pacers
8. Magic
9. Wizards
10. Hawks
11. Bulls
12. Pistons
13. Hornets
14. Cavs
15. Knicks

I wouldn't rule out the Hawks or Wizards beating us in a play-in tournament though. They have the offensive firepower to beat anyone on a given day.

I'm looking forward to the 174-173 games between the Wiz and Hawks this year too

I'm kind of hoping this is a down year and next year we take a huge step forward, but I get the feeling Fultz might just be a contender for MIP this year. I don't know call it a gut feeling, but sometimes you've got to hope that your project turns into something, right?

Weltman will just use the “we didn’t have Mo and Aminu to start the year, we want to see what this team could do healthy” excuse to run it back when we get the 13th pick next summer.

Not sure i saw one person that thought we could make the playoffs before the Westbrook trade.

Jamal Murray looks to me as most obvious MIP candidate.
Guy only averages 18 ppg. In playoffs, however, he averaged over 26 ppg and 6,6 apg.

Tyler Hero according to bets is one of the favorites.

Easly, if they only going to look at numbers, Malik Beasley is favorite. He never averaged more than 11 ppg for a whole season. He averaged 21 ppg after a trade to Minessota. If he stay on that 18-22 ppg range, he is guy who doubled his production and probably lock to win it.

Guy who showed major leap in his game is OG Anunoby, and he never averaged more than 10,5ppg. So another contender to jump to 15-17 ppg and be front runner for award.

Jerami Grant might be in contention for MIP. He just got a big contract and will likely get more usage.

I think you identify why the 8-seed is a much better position than the 9; one game could be lost and a playoff ticket is still possible.

That would be the second highest scoring game ever !

wiki: NBA Highest-scoring regular season games

The box score of that game is outstanding.
Detroit had three 30+ point scorers (actually two 40+ scorers in that).
Denver had a 50 and missed three 30+ scorers by a 28-effort.
There were 113 total rebounds and 93 total assists.
Given the pace of this game, for me an amazing stat was that there was "only" 37 total TOs

(( When the Wizards and Hawks play, the reason the teams will "only" go for 170 each instead of 180 each could be the TOs )).

Detroit Pistons at Denver Nuggets Box Score, December 13, 1983

I think we'll be lucky to play 50 games this year because of coronavirus. The next 2 or 3 months are going to be really bad. The virus is everywhere.

The only workout videos I've saw so far are people working out alone.

So WAS got the guy we could have gotten for AG and peanuts and now we need to blow it up? ORL has the biggest NBA inferiority complex...both times in our history we had lightning in a bottle, it lasted one year (Shaq and Dwight). We as overly statistic-immersed fans just seem to want to make the long long plan even though it gets overshadowed by the bold move year after year. Maybe we're just afraid of actually "arriving", so we fearfully rationalize kicking it down the road. The draft has become fool's gold because nobody (even at the top of the draft) is NBA ready anymore. How can you "develop" guys without losing anything you have on hand now (they don't want to wait)? The guys you draft aren't leaders for 4 years (when they would have come out of college in the past)...I think WeHam thought they could make a big move this offseason (not blowing anything up) but they're too scared to "lose a trade" veiwed either long OR short-term. Personally, I'd take 2 or 3 years of Westbrook (or name your disgruntled star) over what we've been looking at. Lebron whose going to be 35 this month just got extended but we're scared of a significantly younger, recent MVP, last season All-NBA, multiple recent triple double seasons with no serious health concerns because "he might not age well"!?!? Let's hope the kid who dominated in HS can save us...oh wait, that's Cole Anthony, who everyone now craps on. Professional sports is entertainment. Why go timidly? Lives of quiet desperation is the Orlando Magic way.

Orlando will win a third of their games simply from the continuity of Fultz/Fournier/Gordon/Vučević with a similar bench rotation as the last two years.

So Orlando is not a bottom 4 team. But is it a 8 seed or a 10 seed, we will see.

I don’t think we’re that bad. I see us finishing 7-10th seed.
