Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
I just wish they would draw one more pick, making all top 5 picks unpredictable. If a team wants to destroy culture and fan base tanking for a 6th pick (or worse), let them have it.

Same. Cavs are on our heels. Why do we want PAcers to win?

We easily want Cleveland to win. The bulls still play Brooklyn twice and Milwaukee in their last 4 games. Hell, the other game is against Toronto so they could lose the rest of the way (although I expect them to go 2-2). I can't see Indy losing out either.

We literally tanked our entire roster for this draft so we can get a top3 pick and then end up with 2 mid-lotto players.....no
In that scenario, i guess i would hope for Moody and Juzang, but cant say id be excited even if they took those guys
Juzang... wow I neve expected his name to come up in our discussions.
LOL but yeah hard to be excited about the draft if we get 7 and 8 especially when we psyched ourselves up fop the Cade/Suggs/Greeen choices..
I think hes being very underrated by draft sites, but the guy can do it all and has an edge about his game that i really like
I think now more and more of those sites are starting to rethink him, and even nbadraft.net has him as a lotto pick and mocked him going ahead Wagner, Springer, and Bouknight
I dont know what people dont like about his game, but his play in the tourney answered any questions i had about him. Sign me up

I.understand about all the *magic* that goes on during NCAA tourney runs and I am counting on it. BUT only for lotto picks. Like you are mocked at 12th buy carrying your team to a final four run gets you in the top 5 talks.
However Juzang... well he was a SRP or late 20s at best and all of a sudden a top lotto pick? Those are not really safe bets.
Besides he isnt that atheltic no? Some UK fans ( maybe they are just salty ) always say he is a below the rim wing or something.

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Cavs are playing well (and lucky). I'm not sure what is going on with the Pacers but they don't look very interested in winning... which is odd because they are playing hard

Re: Race for Ping Pong Balls
Who are we rooting for tomorrow?
Detroit or Minnesota?
I feel like Detroit winning would be better for Orlando overall because it’s more likely Minnesota would be able to win another game than Detroit would.
That said I think the Wolves win.

Doesn't matter as the Wolves will win. Detroit has masterfully tanked. Their vets only play when they play tough teams, then they are miraculously healthy against terrible teams.

Looks like Detroit shut down some players for the season.

Egh, i put 0 stock in where those websites have players ranked since they really just go off high school recruiting ratings
I mean nbadraft net didnt even have him as a 2nd rounders a month ago..... and the first time hes on their mock, he was in the lottery
What this tells me is that they didnt even know about him and some scouts told them they were underrating him and that he was gonna go high and they listed him. I remember the exact same thing happed with DiVincenzo a few years back. He wasnt one any websites radar even after destroying michigan in the national championship game and all of a sudden a month before the draft some sites started listing him as a 1st rounder
I get it, hes not russell westbrook athletically or anything, but everything else about him he does well, and his ability to catch and shoot, and break down a defender and shoot over him reminds me so much of Klay Thompson. And at this point, this teams greatest need is guys who can consistantly put the ball in the basket, and thats what im looking for. If we cant get cade for jalen, then i want high upside scorers like moody and JJ

Alright. Ill take your word for it regarding JJ. I mean all of us sees or want to see something in a player no one else can ( like me and my stan for Bouknight) I resepct each and everyones opinion on each draftees after all. We can only know if we are right after they are drafted and are performing.

It's going to be near impossible the Bulls catch them now. Hopefully the Pelicans win too, so they can stay a couple games ahead of the Bulls.BCS wrote:Guess we're not going to catch a break with the cavs game.

I'm not sure why you're so worried about that bulls pick. There really isn't much of a difference if they convey the 7th pick or the 10th pick.

The best part is that when we have to tank again because this rebuild fails, we'll have to argue about the same type of wins in ~5 years or so.
