I don't believe anything ping says, but I do this all day everyday if dwight doesn't commit.

Nets, however, are unsure if talks will happen as the Magic are said to have shown reluctance to answer calls.

umm... i think you do... not an expert here but I think the new CBA rules don't go into effect immediately. Someone correct me if i'm wrong though.

You're wrong. Rules effective immediately. Only new tax penalties dont go into effect for a couple more yrs.

to me, if we're not answering the Nets calls that would mean we're not helping them out and the tampering charges will never happen.

I just hope that if we pursue the tampering charges, we pursue it not like what happened with Dan Gilbert's tampering charges.

Remember guys it's Ping, so, I don't really believe it, but, I found it interesting. it's a better offer than Bynum, Fisher, MWP for Dwight, Turk.

While this is true, there still can be advantages to a sign and trade for the player, in that it allows the new team to maintain cap space by shipping contracts to a player's former team. So a sign and trade is not impossible.

If I had to choose a deal. I'd take Bynum deal over Lopez and Nets deal. BUt Turk and Duhon would have to be included in the trade.

Oh there will be tampering charges dropped, nets fans. I was listening to magic post game, Scott Anez, and Dennis Nuemann plainly said, that it's not the end of that they probably know the details but can't say anything.

CLEARLY whatever meeting they had, before the end of the lockout changed Dwight and the Magic are gonna drop the bomb there is no doubt about it

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

RGR that, the only incentive to the trading team is to go above the cap then?

You're wrong. Now read my big bold print again please.

Bird rights don't go with him unless he's traded tomorrow.

I've read numerous places that the new CBA rules would not apply to this years free agents regarding s/t... Is this for sure incorrect? I certainly do not know the details just want to be clear.

I've never read that once. According to every CBA analysis/documentation I've read on the new CBA, as well as tons of articles detailing this, the new CBA allows for sign-and-trades ONLY in the first 2 years (after then they aren't allowed), and that those sign-and-trade agreements are limited to 4 year, 4.5% max raises, which is the same as simply signing on a new team outright.
