Von Wafer was a good sparkplug but I think they cut him because his final two years would have become guaranteed and wanted to make room on the roster for someone else.

In terms of upside, I'd rather have DeAndre Liggins on the roster. The kid has a nice body and feel he could develop into a defensive stopper/rotation player.

Still, I wish Von Wafer nothing but the best. He gave the spark when he was in the games that he was brought here to do.

Didn't CP3 say he wanted M. Malone if they didn't keep Del Negro? I know that some were interested in him here. Not sure how that would work out, since his dad a was just let go by us (I presume SVG's coaching staff was let go as well).

Are these the same advanced stats that prove Duhon increased the productivity of Dwight and Ryno? I guess since stats are all we need, we should lock Duhon up ASAP. How do advanced stats show one's offensive arsenal?

It's nice that Del Negro is returning to The Clippers as it keeps more coaching options on the table for The Magic.

So basically a Stan/Otis mix? As if Stan's dad knocked up Otis' mom?
I like this team

I wonder what happens to the Nets if they DON'T get a lottery pick. What's the future in Brooklyn for D-Will without that pick? I have a feeling a lot of Nets fans, D-Will, Dwight, and of course us, will be on the edge of our seats tomorrow night, waiting to see where the ping pong balls fall.

Personally, unless it's the #1 pick, I wouldn't consider trading Dwight to Brooklyn. I still think we have an opportunity to build a perennial contender in the East within a year or sooner. But there will be a lot of pressure on the Magic to make the deal if the Nets get a lottery pick. The new GM is going to have his work cut out for him.

If you read the things they say about Bower, a lot of things make you think of Otis.

I'd rather see us give the chance to Weaver or a young guy. There are some very good guys out there, I hope (for once) they're not gonna pick a bad GM

Did I miss the Jrich vs JJ talk! Man that was quick, I will throw out there that JJ is a much better free throw shooter as well. 8-)

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
Three finalists for Blazers GM are Jeff Bower, David Morway and the third is believed to be Neil Olshey.

Jason Quick ‏@jwquick
Miller said 3 GM finalists are the only candidates who interviewed with Allen. Bower and Morway are confirmed. Olshey reported by @KBergCBS

 Blazers hire Bower

I'm glad to hear that the new GM will have the decision of whether or not to ride out a season with I commitment from Dwight. Suggests the team may believe Dwight might not be convinced immediately and may be prepared to let the new guys results on the court do the talking. There's really no need to trade him ASAP. But i'd definitely put an embargo on either Dwight or the team addressing upcoming free agency with the media. Keep quiet on that front, deflect those questions, and we might be able to get enough steam going to get him locked in by mid season.
