There’s been talk that the Bobcats might be willing to move the No. 2 pick to Memphis in a package for small forward Rudy Gay, but according to sources, it’s just been talk. “It seems the rumors about Gay (being on the trading block) are true,” one source said. “And the Bobcats are one team that could take on his salary. But a trade would be complicated.”

MJ... Just sell that team and put them out of their misery.

I would laugh my A$$ off if the Bobcats did that taking on his huge salary and Memphis gets MKG on a rookie deal and he rips it up in Memphis allowing them to resign Mayo and Speights as well!!!

Draft buzz: Hearing that teams calling Hornets being told that it'll take more to get No. 10 pick than taking on Ariza or Okafor contract

bobcats fan here... was searching your board of news about the sam vincent story which just seems so bizarre. stay away from this guy. he is NUTS!!! some of the stories from when he was our coach and even after are just crazy. i think he is delusional. anyway....

my two cents on that rudy gay nugget

there is 0.0% chance we would exchange our two biggest assets (the #2 pick and our cap space) for a borderline all-star small forward. it make no sense on any level. the only way it could even approach making sense would be part of a much larger deal where the bobcats also got rid of bad contracts like tyrus, diop and/or maggette, thus preserving all cap space and even then it doesnt make sense.

I hear ya. I doubt the Bobcats would trade the #2 unless they either got more in return or unload a bad contract. Besides, your team is rebuilding through youth. And, I may be one of the only people here that is rooting for Jordan to prove everyone else wrong as an owner!!!

Hornets are telling teams they have to hire Bower as GM as another stipulation lol

If they want teams to take Ariza and Okafor sign me up. If they want teams to take Jarret Jack as well... Maybe I do it, anything more then that and I say good luck to them because a trade is not real likely

Why is "taking on" Jarrett Jack a bad thing? Dudes one of the most underrated PGs in the league...dropped 15/6 last year and I bet you never heard a thing about him. Is a solid defender at the 1 and 2.

He would be a solid starter or great backup, as would ariza

I actually don't mind having Ariza, Okafor, and Jack on our team... I like them and think they are good players

This. The guy would honestly probably be better than Jameer. I mean their stats are virtually the same, but Jack is bigger and a better defender. I think it's time for Jameer to move on, I'm sick of the "he and Dwight are bffs so you can't trade him" nonsense. Thanks for your service guy but we need a change of face and he's far from immovable.

That's promising, and if true, it portends good things for where Martins' head is at.

Tom Penn said on ESPN that Dwight for Lopez and Gerald Wallace is a good trade for the Magic. Keep him away, lol. :p

I hope Dennis Lindsey is the guy who takes over, Troy Weaver would be nice too.
