NBA needs to change this tanking system... im speachless
horrible when a team after team is shutting down healthy players... this should be prevented somehow

That's why it's hard to evaluate talent right now. Half of a teams roll with second round picks ,bench warmers, d league players and scrubs.

Do you know why Batum missed last game' ? Because he had migraine

That is in bad form dude, they are going to run brain scans because of the severity...

:eek2:
he was missing games in past for same reason, it was never anything serious. As somebody who has migraine , you only need to take a pill, take off all lights ,turn off all sounds and sleep. Well, hope he is ok, really good player tho

Looking more and more likely that we will have at worst the 7th pick. If we get 7, then 2 teams below us have moved into the lottery, which is also good because then we get Lakers unprotected 2019. That could be invaluable. Either to keep or for a trade.

Tankapolooza: UPDATED 3/15/17; 02:21 EST

It's so frustrating to see other teams shutting down their veterans and playing all their young guys while Jeff green is still getting more minutes than our 5th overall draft pick. Jeff green and Cj Watson shouldn't play another minute this season. But Vogel and our organization is too desperate for wins to do it. Vogel is still trying to create that "Winning culture" while we still lose to teams openly tanking and have the 4th worst record in the league playing our Vets big minutes. Pathetic.

Somebody should tell Vogel that you create winning culture when wins actually matter

I'm okay with Jeff Green and CJ playing because they are the biggest reason we're losing.

this.

Other teams' vets are shut down because they actually HELP the team. Our vets keep playing cause they make us lose. Stealth tanking. I see you Rob & Frank.

kind of how i feel. For me.... playing elf, gordon, hezonja 32+ min a game would be awesome!!! But that increases our chances of winning. Catch-22

The problem is we can't pretend that that is the reason why. We are actually still trying to win games. That is why their playing. Our organization does not care about player development. Neither will be on this team past this summer. We wouldn't be winning anymore games with Zimm and Mario getting big minutes than we are now.

Oh well, by all advanced stats Deng and Mozgov are 2 of 3 worst Lakers players
They would actually help team lose more, like Jeff and CJ helping Magic.

Unfortunately this is true. Our dumb owner and Pres of Basketball operations still think the playoffs are achievable this season. :banghead:

Actually, Martins has openly talked about the draft.

If I recall correctly, Hennigan and Vogel are the ones that were still talking playoffs after the trade deadline.

I highly doubt that they believed that thought, they were echoing what was coming from RDV and Martins most likely.

I agree with the point that Jeff Green, CJ & DJ are biggest reasons we're losing. So I have no problem with them getting minutes at this point of the season.

My problem is, this has been happening all year, way before the tank. Frank actually thinks playing them is the best way to win, and that is **** scary.

It's above Frank though. RDV and Martins have pressed Rob to bring in vets, pretty much every year of the rebuild. Frye, B Gordon, Watson, Green, DJ, Maxiell, BBD, W Green, Ridnour.

Funny how just about every team does this but it is only a problem with the Magic concerning Rob?

Every team likes to have veteran leadership and signs Vets to meet the salary floor even when tanking.

After tonites Game we will have just 13 games left. I'm seeing 4 winnable by eye but we don't know who will rest who near the end that could translate into extra wins. I just want to stay in the top 5. It would be BS If these blatant tanking teams get a high pick and we get screwed for trying to win.

There goes Jordan Crawford to the Pelicans - yet another example of a team getting a guy who isn't in the league who is given an opportunity and plays well.

Any chance the Magic might want to even attempt that during this five year losing stretch?

At least invite Anthony Brown back.

We had Seth Curry on our d-league team for like a year and didn't do anything. I'm not surprised. Now he's tearing it up for Dallas.
