2 yr deal, maybe a third year TO...absolute 6MOY candidate and an offensive machine for the 2nd unit with AB next to him...he's flawed, I don't want to put the keys to the offense right into his hands, but as far as budget possibilities - few can light it up like him. It might also allow us to run less of a frontcourt-centric offense and even consider letting Moe walk if he's not interested in a reasonable pay cut...We can't be scared of Moe, we've got way too much money into this team now to be nice to the detriment of the team's upside.

Having said that, if we could re-sign Moe for a better deal...Moe, D'Lo, AB, TdS, Caleb, and #25 is a pretty good starting point...I've assumed dealing Goga and Jett, but they could obviously also be factors if others are dealt.

Somewhat reasonable possibility (I think)...

Decline all TO's ...return to re-sign Moe later, $8m x 3 yrs

ORL sends: Goga, Jett, #25
DAL sends: Gafford

sign DeAngelo Russell to (part of?) MLE, sign Miles Plumlee to 1 yr vet min, possibly waive when Moe returns.
WCJ becomes a super-sub but we may explore moving off of him at the TD - before his extension (or he may earn back his spot with reliability, motor, and shooting?)

Gafford, WCJ, Plumlee (Moe)
Paolo, Isaac, WCJ
Franz, TdS, AB
Suggs, AB, Queen
Bane, DLo, McClung or srp (Proctor?)

If D'Lo buys in, that's a demonic 2nd unit backing up a monster young starting lineup

Zero chance we add DLo given our assistance on high character.

People grow up and mature...I seem to recall a picture of "solid citizen" KCP playing in an NBA game with an ankle monitor. I don't want a jerk, I'm just saying I don't know the guy - worth a look as we need to make some big bargain moves now.

Mo Wagner needs like 20 mil per season
He can hit 3’s with no conscience and draw charges and be agitator and fire the team up
WCJ needs to be dumped for expiring

I'd want to see how he looks post injury before I gave him a big deal.

Wendell is so underappreciated on this board, he is our C, perfect fit for this team, he is not going anywhere

Might be the reason he's still on the team and hasn't been declined yet.

Who from those UFA would be willing to sign her for a VEt min contract?

Brogdon (38% 3PT career shooter with injury concern)
Kennard (44% 3PT career shooter that has connections with Bane)
Harris (we know gary)
Trent Jr (unlikely to take so little)
Tyus Jones (unlikely to take so little unless it s a starting job)

I think Kennard could be a very nice option (or even a sign and trade for Jett with Memphis)

Suggs, AB, Cojo (vet min)
Bane, Kennard (S&T) , SRP
Franz, TDS, Houstan
Paolo, JI, Moe
WCJ, Goga, Raynaud

I would prefer Brogdon out of that lot. Vet PG that can shoot, although last year he did not in limited games.

They rarely play together, Moe and JI do well together

Goga will be traded when/if Moe comes back 100%

Our big depth will be fine

Does this Bane trade open up the Magic for veterans that are ring chasing?? Free agent vets that are willing to take a discount.

I think thats part of the plan and reason we made the trade that early. One good ring chasing veteran could be worth more than a late first round pick.
My money is on Banchero going number 1 !

I would say it does and Mose is also a big part of that...more so than his X's and O's thus far, but it's a valuable trait for a coach

I heard something like Paul Porter our announcer had to commute himself a long way back and forth for Magic games, and maybe it was a factor in moving on from him. Can the Magic get him a full time driver and bring Porter back to the announcer table? I extremely doubt anyone new would be as good as Porter. "THAAAREEEEEEEEEEEEE, Rashard Lewwwwwwisss!"
