Get mad at Dwight for pretty much leaving soon... cool... but get mad at our Front Office as well (Otis) for putting us in this crap in the first place :)

Just trying to direct the hate/anger equally, that is all

I would agree with you if Dwight wanted to go play in Chicago ot OKC and he felt winning was not an option here. But when he is bailing to play for a team 13.5 games behind us in the standings, I have a hard time putting the blame on management.

I'll help you... two words: Otis Smith

more two words: Phoenix Trade

I'll leave it at that... but there are more stuff that Otis did that we all hated and messed up the team (Gilbert Arenas, etc)... sometimes we can't ignore the origins that started this whole mess... it didn't start with Dwight... it started with Otis... and ended with Dwight AND Magic FO... Dwight and Otis should both be boo'd imo... which is weird to say, but true.

Clearly our front office sucks. But, it sure seems to me like unless they could turn Orlando into NY, we were going to be in this situation either way.

This is the best case scenario I can think of for rebuilding while still being good or at least I think we would be good.

Why would Chicago trade for anyone but Dwight? They're the best team in the NBA.

Because they know they can't beat Miami in the playoffs with their PF who can't play late in the 4th with this trade they rid themselves of Boozer and pick up Gasol...Insurance at SG for when RIP can't play.... and Barnes to replace Dengs defense even if he's not as good...

Rose, JRich/RIP, Barnes, Gasol, Noah and they keep Taj, Asik... that's a win for them I think...

Lakers get a better center and franchise player in Dwight... a solid midrange guy in Boozer and Turk to replace Barnes probably backup Metta lol

Orlando gets the 2nd best C in the league and a very good SF and rid ourselves of Jrich/Hedo contracts...

I'm glad we waited for the middle of the season, if we get NJ's first round pick it will be just as worthless as ours smh.

I can't blame nor hate on Dwight. I would be pissed too if Otis continually was allowed to make mistake after mistake. I am mad at ownership. They allowed all of this to happen. This is all on Rich Devos for allowing this to happen and then expect Alex Martins to fix it. Why don't we have experienced basketball executives running this organization? It's been reported a ton of times that we have a small and weak basketball operations team. That is on the ownership. I will boo the hell out of Dwight when he returns in another jersey but I can't blame him for wanting to leave.

We can put all the blame on Otis but it is my understanding that a LOT of these f-d up trades in the past was to keep Dwight Happy because they are the one's Dwight Howard wanted on the team.

We will still make the playoffs = Bad pick
NJ will probably make the playoffs = Bad pick

If we traded Dwight earlier we wouldn't make the playoffs which equals a decent pick, now both will suck.

I guess at the end of the day... if I had to choose... Dwight or the Magic (players and management/FO)... I'd choose the Magic over Dwight 100% of the time, all the time.. ... as much as I'm frustrated and angry at our FO's ineptitude... Dwight is the one leaving us... I have to support my team... so you do have a point... the spending and contracts were ridiculous, we all saw the writing on the wall early... this was bound to happen... we should have accepted it earlier and expected it.

Magic > Dwight

that is actually a decent trade, although orlando gets the worst of it, its better than nothing and clears up some cap.

IMO, getting Turk and BBD was for Dwight.

THings are getting really chaotic...CBS saying Magic closer to coming to grips to trade him...SVG talking about firing him rumors...this feels like a bad dream...
Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:

"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."
