Bobcats are winning, 80-62, against the Lakers in the 3rd Quarter
... awesome.

Game is close, nearing the end... tied at 95
I posted this in the Spec thread btw:
Gerald Henderson's ~44 inch vert dunk on Dwight Coward... enjoy

Edit* Lakers win it at the last second... Gerald Henderson misses a follow-up lay-up during the final seconds... Lakers acting like they won a championship lol... it's the Bobcats and they struggled badly against them.

Man, if BJ Mullens could hit an open shot, or Gerald Henderson makes an easy layup, the Lakers lose. Damn. Still, not an impressive win.

Bobcats should have went "Hack-a-Dwight" in the final few minutes... Kobe was going off... but yeah, Bobcats should have won that... shame... but the Lakers are still terrible imo.

Its really sad to get down by 18 points in the 3rd at home to the Bobcats. They are extremely lucky they won.

Going out and scoring the first 13 points of the 4th against the worst team in the league isn't what I would describe as "luck".

Not sure where to put this and I don't really want to start a new thread, but.... Magic are in 9th, 1.5 games out of 5th. Yes 5th. 2.5 out of 4th and home court advantage. That is likely far fetched, but 5-8 is wide open.

That could all change with BBD out, but fortunatley, the schedule looks light for the next week and hopefully the Magic could capitalize before his loss catches up with them. Maybe, by the luck of the basketball gods, Hedo and Harrington could come back.

Yeah, it's unfortunate timing. Toronto is on a roll, I wouldn't sleep on that game even with BBD in.

Dwight Howard continues to feel the effects of his April surgery to repair a herniated disk.
Howard returned from the surgery ahead of schedule, but he still hasn't played to his pre-surgery form.
"I'm still in that process," Howard said. "People don't understand that. They just come out and see me make a couple dunks and blocks and say, 'Oh, he's back.' But it does take a while for all this stuff to heal. This is not something easy, so I understand that. It will come."
Howard is averaging 17.8 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 1.1 steals per game, but the full influence of his play on defense hasn't been felt yet by the Lakers.
"Tingling in my legs all the way down to my feet," Howard said as he described his current state. "There's times when sometimes I really can't even feel my feet. (The doctors) said that's going to happen. It takes at least nine months for you to get strength back in your legs and all that stuff. So I'm still in that process."

That sounds pretty bad. I think his best years are behind him. We were luckier than we thought.

He really shouldn't be playing right now. He needs to learn how to take care of himself and not be such an idiot.

I think we definitely dodged a bullet by trading him. Let the Lakers deal with his attitude and now health issues.
