Gooden is a Starting Caliber PF/C

luc-richard-mbah-moute is a Very Underated Defender.

only crap in there is Udrih

It really isnt that bad of a deal

JJ and Redick are better than Gooden and Beno and Duhon makes less than Mbah a Moute only thing is Ellis is 10 times better than Hedo but that would be the price youd have to pay to get better talent in other places

More than 30 years ago, but Bill Russel, twice as player/coach, 1967/68 and 1968/69.

I couldn't disagree more about Gooden. He's dumber than a bucket of hair and lacks the athleticism and skill to make up for it.

And I agree that Mbah-moute is a good defender, but he is completely worthless on offense, making it very difficult to keep him on the court against a quality defense.

We are not going to contend for a while, Jaques Vaughn is going to be a rebuild coach.

Heat walk all over Magic in less than two hours, everyone gets out of the arena and back home in time to go out and get loaded. Everybody wins. (Except the Magic on the court, but then I feel that's going to be a regular occurrence over the next couple of years while we rebuild).

No Way

Lamb will lock up aging Wade
White will have LeBron shaking his head after he dunks on him

So when will we finally come to the conclusion that Houston is not going to offer us what we want?

from the same dude apparently:

I had posted some stuff I had heard from a relative who works within AEG not too long ago. The info was verified legitimate, so I got a few more nuggets last night. Believe or not believe, I'm still willing to share.

-Lakers were THIS close to acquiring Howard a week and a half ago, until Orlando changed the terms and tried pushing Hedo onto LA at the very last minute. It really irked Jim Buss, who proceeded to give call Hennigan and give him a "verbal assault", from what I was told. Supposedly there's pretty much an unsaid "code" that goes along with trades and more importantly, "trade protocol" that teams stick to, and the fact that Orlando's newly minted GM had the audacity to bypass the "manners system" really infuriated Buss. Word is he handed Henn his lunch, much to Kupchak's chagrin.

-After that blow up, Orlando then changed their "wants" yet again, now focusing on wanting to get cheap expirings, rather than a proven player, along with multiple picks & cap relief. But the rumor was, they still indeed wanted the all star, AND the picks, cap relief, salary dumps, etc. That scared away EVERYONE, including Atlanta, and even Dallas(as if they could even muster a package to begin with), leaving the Lakers still there...and Houston. Word is, without the Rockets in the picture LA would've already had this trade completed, but now they're being leveraged against the Lakers.

-Howard vehemently does NOT want to play in Houston, period. Regardless of contract length incentives by staying with them, Dwight WILL get outta there after the lone season he'd have to play for the team. Morey knows this, and although nobody really knows what he's doing( some GMs and front office people around the league joke that it'd take a "rocket scientist" to understand the guy), his play might be to just muck things up..and maybe get either Howard with the inherit risk attached...or Bynum. One thing I know for certain, is he will NOT gut the entire team for either player.

-Cleveland really, really wants Andrew Bynum. They've been very proactive in trade talks, not resisting being the catalyst for LA to get Howard. They see it as a means to an end in order to pair up Drew along with Irving. They're absolutely in love with that prospect.

-Bynum is receptive to signing long term with either Houston or Cleveland, leaning more toward the Cavaliers. The rumors bug him, but he's certainly used to them and it doesn't make him very upset. He likes that he's wanted.

-Buss has definitely wanted to walk away from talks on numerous occasions, but Mitch has stepped in to calm the situation down.

-One last thing, I hear the Lakers will stay over the cap and will actually add if necessary these next couple seasons, to maximize Kobe's final opportunities to get more rings.

Man writing this on my phone totally was a chore.. well just wanted to let you know what I heard.

Obviously, if 10% of what this guy says is true, I'd be shocked. If anything, he's just an informed fan making halfway decent educated guesses.

All that aside, and knowing that every "real" insider has been full of it this offseason, this dude has the most interesting and fun-to-read BS of them all.

Kudos to him for that.

Even without Rose, they're still 7-9 team in the east. I hope they make the playoffs; just cause I don't want them to get better.

if we are in the lottery stern will give us the 1st pick and if we get that toronto lot pick at 4

I wish.

But Lowry's better than advertised and playing for a big contract. No doubt he will lead that team to overachieve and put that pick somewhere in the 9-12 range.

Bensational wrote:that's your definition of absolutely awful? outside of Dwight, it's better than our team in 3 out of 4 positions (with an argument to be made that they're better at every position), and we were good enough for a 2nd round run at least.

Lin's good enough to make Dwight better. all the complaints you have about Dwight's lack of offense won't matter half as much as long as he's got a PG who can get him the ball in effective spots.

and, as mentioned, between Asik, BBD, Donatas, Patterson, White, Parsons and KMart's expiring, they've got enough talent on that team to bring in significant upgrades in the future. much more than any current Magic player would ever land, that's for sure.

Dwights lack of offense will always matter. Relying on Jeremy Lin (lmao) to make you look better would be a very sad time for Dwight, a supposed superstar. Needing help to win it all is one thing, but needing help to make you a more effective player is something else. That is an obvious glaring weakness in him being a franchise player and I am not sure why you so swiftly ignore it.

And that supporting cast is terrible no matter how you spin it. Jeremy Lin would be his best teamate. And no, Jeremy Lin is not a good enough PG to help Dwight out. The two of them would be the most TO prone combo in the league. That Houston team would just not be very good, especially in the West.

Well, it depends on what you want, doesn't it. Personally I'd take Motiejunas, Lamb, TOR 1st, one other 1st, and Martin to make the salaries work in return for Dwight and J-Rich. Which really isn't that much. If they won't offer us that, then why would a deal get done in the first place?
