The thought of Harkless - Harris - Vuc is starting to look better. Harkless is getting noticably better every game and he is our best athlete. Imagine harkless with a fadeaway jumper.

The thing that made Moe's game so impressive to me was who he was doing it against. A lot of 19 year old's would have been hesitant and shook to play against Kevin Durant. Moe was out there going at him like he had been in the league for years. Not to mention, Durant has some insane length to disrupt shots and deflect passes.

Seeing BBD get pumped every time Hark made a play really is refreshing to see. Def a great guy to have around the young guns.

Wow. I didn't get to catch the game and saw his stat line and was impressed but the video is even more impressive. That video shows the sky is the limit for Harkless.

What makes Maurice so exciting to watch is that the kid is only 19! First year and he looks solid. I'm excited to see him get a really nice offseason to practice on things he's having trouble with. The same goes to Andrew and Nik both those guys can look a lot better with a great offseason.

Thanks for the tip on that app, it works good, finally can use realgm on my phone.

I watched the OKC game live and watching that highlight reel was still really impressive. He's got Lebron tomorrow for an encore.

Just curious on your guys opinions, what position would you like to see Vucevic playing in the future? Would you guys rather have him at C and get a complementary PF or get more of a Kendrick Perkins type defensive center and move Vucevic to PF. Or does it even matter?

It matters, Vucevic is not a PF in any way shape or form. Just need a PF/C type that gives the team what we are missing down low, Mobility for P&R defense and weakside defense and a rim protector.

In Vucevic we have great rebounding, decent shooting ability and enough range to keep the opposing big man honest by pulling him away from the basket, adequate post scoring if we choose to intregate it more into the offense, We also have a very good post and short mid range scorer in Nicholson, and a jack of all trades in Harris (when we have him down there). So all we are missing to make ALL of these parts work is the FC (needs to play both spots to make all players fit) that brings the things nobody else on our frontcourt does (see first paragraph).

Something I recently read talked about us getting Noel and putting him at the 5 and moving Vuc to his "natural position" at the 4. I may have misread, but I don't think so, going to try and track down the link.

Vuc is a center. Period. We need a defensive PF like Noel to make up for Vuc's inefficiencies.

If Vuc is a center than what position should Noel play next to him with no offensive game?

Noel should protect the paint with his ability and Vuc should have to switch to PF to make their games compliment each other...if Kevin Love can play PF, so can Vucevic ( even though K.Love is a better 3pt shooter though with no real defensive inside game) 8-)

Vuc can only dream to be half the athlete Love is (which is about average). Imagine Vuc trying to guard Josh Smith/Blake Griffin/hell, Lebron plays PF a lot these days.

^^^^Ha ha nice try those guys all pretty much are hard to guard any way!

In theory, you want Noel guarding those guys from the perimeter and who would protect the rim?

That's why you see most NBA teams play zone to cover up defensive woes...like when we had D12 and Lewis @ the 4/5, Howard was our best big defensive player yet I would not want him roaming the perimeter catching these PF's like you want potentially Noel to do...get my point bud! ^^

BTW, Vucevic can become a K.Love type player with more work this off season

So you want Vuc at PF and Noel at center while we play a 3-2 zone? I'm not sure I follow your defensive plan.

Back to the Vuc at PF (not in a zone):
Vuc would foul out trying to keep up with other pf's like Aldridge/Randolph/Dirk/West/Millsap/Hickson/etc. He just doesn't have the foot speed to keep up with those guys. The PF position is stacked with talent and most of that talent is athletic and skilled.

Dont know if anyone has posted this yet but Hoopsworld had a discussion about the best rebuilding teams. We were one of the five teams named.

“The Orlando Magic have assembled an excellent young core that features a wealth of talent in Nikola Vucevic, Maurice Harkless, Tobias Harris and Andrew Nicholson. These four players have shown flashes of brilliance at times this season and seem like long-term pieces for Orlando. The Magic also have one of most promising front offices of any organization in the league, since general manager Rob Hennigan and head coach Jacque Vaughn are the two youngest individuals at their respective position.
